Another inmate for the insane asylum

Postby Juronimo on Thu Sep 20, 2012 11:34 am

Another misfit wacko joins a team of misfit wackos. Looks like a match made in hell. I can't think of a franchise more deserving than that one.

Larry Brown once said that he has more maturity on his pinkie than Milicic.

They've matched our DHoward trade. Balls in our court to see if we can one-up them.

he is actually better than Kwame who was a number 1 pick.

But considering how Wade, Bosh and Melo followed him...ya thats a deep crappy choice.

Also other top 10 picks

Kaman
Hinrich
Ford
Michael Sweetney
Jarvis Hayes

most already out of the league except for Kaman and Hinrich still a bench dude. Out of the top 20 picks, 8 are already out of the league. I have no idea why people consider this draft class (2003) deep. It was top heavy but the rest of the draft wasn't all that.

Detroit taking him at 2 probably cost us a ring. If they drafted Melo or Wade, they don't make the Sheed trade (IMO) and we win in 04. Ugh.

^I think Malone's injury, Kobe's awful shooting, Payton's ego and Shaq's lack of defense cost us the series.

All of those are true, but we win if Malone was healthy. Crushing defeat.

:man10: That was cruel, I was trying to think of a legendary big from recent Pistons memory and only Sheed and Big Ben came up.

Awesome title. My first thought was Bill Lambier, :man10: but then I figured that'd be a little impossible, so I figured Big Ben. That was great.
If it doesn't matter who wins then why do they keep score?

Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE wrote:"I'm done trying to prove I'm the No. 2 pick and that [expletive] stuff," Milicic told CSNNE.com. "This year, it's all about Celtics, to show that I am a team player. It's not about me. It's about us as a team.

Milicic added: "I'll do whatever it takes, whatever I need to do to help this team. So now, if I have to go kill someone on the court, I'll kill someone on the court."

Uh, just grab a few rebounds, maybe block a shot or two and defend.

Basketball homicide not required.

"Whatever needs to be done for the team to be better," Milicic added, "I'll do it."
