Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

I think Charley iz a good addition, he will be a good back up point guard!

Charlie Ward makes them no less or more of a contender than they already were. I don't blame the guy for going there - right now they look like the toughest team in the league right now and he probably thought that since the Lakers have no to little money to sign him they would be his next best shot to win a title.

This is about as threatening as McDyess going to the Suns. Insignificant roster build-up in case of injury, nothing more, nothing less.

I guess he wants to play for Van Gundy, but wanted a shot at getting a ring, but I guess he forgot about the team that won't allow that to happen...Lakers

Charlie Ward is one of the most indecisive guards off the court and one of the most decisive on the court...he was speculating between New Jersey, Houston, and San Antonio--amidst some speculation he'd return to New York--and he chose the Spurs. And he used his agent Craig McKenzie to do all the dirty work for him. On the court he's like one of the best floor generals--MR. Heisman Trophy--and off the court he's one of the lousiest. Did he forget the Lakers?...I have stated that I would love to have MR. Ward on our team, even if he backs up Fisher or Payton or whatever, and he chose San Antonio...not a bad decision,'cuz Jason Hart is unskilled though...

Charlie Ward is nothing more than a formidable back-up like Fish.

Spurs Fan checking in...

Ward was a great pickup for us. Hart's not learning fast enough, and Tony is struggling. Pop made some comments specifically about how Parker needed Wards experience. I have no doubts that in exchange for some schooling, we will work something out w/Houston. He might wanna stick around though- He got a standing ovation his first game as a Spur and he's real close to the Spurs fam. (Drob, Holt, etc..)

It was a given he was gonna sign w/us. We needed the vet, and it worked out perfectly. If Tony can't average more than ONE assist in the next few games, I do see a move to give Ward the majority of the minutes (not starting though)

Thus far, Ward has proved to be exactly what we needed.

I'm hoping we land Bobby Jackson in '04-05, at this point ALLOT of Spurs fan have had enough of Parker. I'm a Parker homer myself, but he does have to much control over our wins. When Parker steps up- we blow opponents out, when he doesn't- Tim works solo.

Also, there is much talk about his ankle- possibly he is injury prone, that would explain his limited playing time in Euro and the quick explosive cuts to the hoop.
