Chris Paul Has Thumb Surgery

Chris Paul Has Thumb Surgery

Postby Texas Lakers Fan on Tue Aug 21, 2012 1:47 pm

Chris Paul underwent surgery this morning to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb, the Los Angeles Clippers announced today, saying the injury occurred last month during Team USA training camp in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Steven Shin, a hand specialist at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.

Paul is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks, at which time he is projected to resume all basketball activities including full contact.

Paul helped lead Team USA to the gold medal in the 2012 Olympics. He started all eight games, averaging 8.3 points, 5.1 assists, an Olympic tournament-high 2.5 steals and 25.8 minutes per game.

Props to him for playing through the Olympics with something that needed surgery, but seriously if he can be that tough then why does he flop at EVERYTHING? Watching him play literally makes me hate the NBA.

Judging by the blank, mouth open, expression on his face most of the time I think his injury is "internal".....

Whiney.....and chippy, dirty player on the court. But he seems to have blind media all fooled. Never gets called out for the way he plays on the negative side. Always the usual "great guy" / "one of the truly nice guys" in the league crap.

Next surgery will be to reattach some artificial "balls" when Darth cracks down on flopping this year....since he just gave his up to try for some competitive edge. I truly would have loved the "look" from Kobe and conversation at him first time his did that obvious bleep in a Lakers uniform. :man10:

He will soon have a butt surgery after they play the Lakers and he gets swatted every trip down the floor.

I don't hate CP3. I still enjoy flipping over to the Clipper game when he's done "getting his team involved" and starts to take over in the 4th qtr. I hope he comes back OK.

Now Clipper fans... aka out-of-towners or lame-excuse-anti-Laker-fans... they can jump off a cliff for all I care.
There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

He's probably having elective surgery to have his thumb made removable so he can flop even harder and pull off his thumb and show it to the ref to try and draw a Flagrant 1 foul.
