I thought his contract was a 2 year one.... I could be wrong however.....

That's what I thought too.

He has a team option for about $760k that we haven't picked up yet, per Hoopshype.com.

I don't know dj, I saw Eric Pincus mention that the reason why the Lakers haven't picked up any option from Glock is that he was signed for 2 years. Hoopshype.com may be wrong.

According to this source he was signed for 2 years, but the second year is not fully guaranteed.

Glock 2nd year is not fully guaranteed ... he's under contract but can be cut by LAL

That usually means that he can be cut after the all-star break, or thereabouts.

I don't know about Morris. He was a late pick, had some big question marks coming out of college, and looked bad early on last season. He looked only slightly better later in the season. We probably should see how he looks in Summer League.

oic, yeah i usually just follow them since they seem to be right and up to date most of the time but in this case it's not entirely accurate.

good signing.
Cheap way to fill up the required 12 player roster.

JK. FREAK. Get us some blockbuster trades already. Too quiet on the front. Seems like no one wants to trade w/ us!!!

Good move. Let's fill our roster with the same useless bench players we had last year. Way to go!

Management is just biding their time until Kobe's 30 mil comes off the books. The size of that contract basically cripples us under the new CBA.

No it's not, not really anyway. On paper that team should be a perennial challenger. We've got Kobe f***ing Bryant along with 2 of the top 10 big men in the league. Two nice young big men in McRoberts and HIll. Ebanks has shown promise (although I know you don't like him, other teams have noticed him). The real problem is backup guard positions, but we have a scorer in Goudelock and an athlete in Morris.

On paper, this team should be pretty good and I think if it were run the right way they could push for the top spot in the West. Remember, they got 3rd with a crap coach and awful rotations. Run correctly, I think they could be a much better team. Not a champion, but certainly a contender.

And I said pretty good, not great and not amazing. I didn't say they were deep and that they were a dynasty waiting to happen. I said pretty good. All things considered, 3rd in the West and 2nd round of the playoffs qualifies as "pretty good". By Laker standards, pretty good isn't good enough, but that doesn't mean it's not "pretty good" for other teams.
