Ummmm....don't look now but we're starting to see some improvement in his game. Better handles, starting to penetrate and dish, trying to go to the hole & may get better, playing with pretty decent speed & athleticism, making more confident passes, shooting the ball not badly and playing some decent defense. I actually was enjoying watching the growth in his game. Blake better watch out if this is an upward trend that continues next few months and is not just an isolated game.

i'd give his game a B as a backup today.

still made some stupid plays, but he played more in control tonight. still needs work on reading the defense, and playing defense.

It's true. I still think he'd be better off as a 2-guard. But it has to be said: Mike Brown has a strange, debilitating effect on point guards. We didn't see it at first because Fisher was DONE anyway, and Blake still is/was shaky even with Phil.

But I don't believe Sessions was as bad as he was for us, and Nash was just the proof in the pudding. So Darius is probably better than what we've seen in the past season.

I'll give credit where it's due. He had a decent game. His decision making, ball handling, and passing still need work. That botched fastbreak opportunity and the over pass to Hill wide open under the basket was just horrible.

Maybe I missed some bad sequences or something, but I actually thought his defense was the best thing about his game tonight. He was all over whoever he was guarding, much more than I'm used to seeing from our guards, he looked like guards for other teams do when guarding our PG's full court press, hounding defense, moving his feet, just playing physical.

Artest definitely deserves one. That pretty much fills out the old starting lineup sans Kobe :man10:

His defense was about as good as anybody else's tonight.

And yes, he made some mistakes in transition and overdribbled. But that's not something anybody else on this team with the exception of Steve Nash doesn't do. Overall, we're an awful transition offense team. Morris fits right in with the rest of the troop in that regard.

He's got all of this speed and athleticism that he can use on the break, but he just doesn't know how to control it. I don't think he'll ever really learn how to do it well.

i thought he played pretty well. glad kobe called him out and recognized the good he did tonight. stay aggressive. 10pts 5reb 5ast 1stl 1TO. thats pretty good. i liked what he did today. hopefully he can keep it up...think this team could use a young PG off the bench if he can play like that. the 1TO is important. and was +15.

keep it up, i like him. hes a 2nd rookie and shows it a lot but you gotta give him credit for his game tonight.

yea i mean, you gotta wonder...if mike brown can make some of our veteran role players look bad, and even some of our stars...maybe he was having a bad effect on the kid.

i dunno though, my guts tell me tonight was close to the morris ceiling, as far as his abilities exist now. but he did play well tonight.

The problem with Morris has been something that other young point guards have a problem with coming out of college. He's beginning to learn to slow the game down. He has the tools to be an NBA point guard, he just falls into that pattern of trying to do too much and not letting the game 'come to him.' Once he's able to do that, he'll be very good.

^Sorry but I don't see it. If he matures enough, he's at best a 3rd string PG in this league. Which is basically what he is on this team anyway. And frankly I don't see why. What he did last night isn't something Duhon can't do. And Duhon is much more consistent.

Even if Duhon is his ceiling, he's younger, cheaper and potentially a better defender. Point guards usually take about 3 years to come into their own in the NBA, with notable exceptions, and I think this is the case with Darius. I like his upside, and I don't think he's near his potential just yet.

Better than Blake and duhon, upside yes he's going fast he's trying hard can't you people see that? Come on duhon and Blake are scared to shoot. Y'all trying to tear his career game down, I swear y'all lame for that. Props to morris for working out there tonight. Still want reds but if he ain't coming I rather djo and morris over Blake and dunon yell™

Looking at my SYNERGY numbers, he had one of the best games of the season offensively.
