Really pleased to see Morris has kept working hard and found his way on this team...

Well he got a quick 2, as did Dwight.

i dont know why hes on the floor, his minutes should go to Jamison,

but is it because of his "defense"?

His PG defense is pretty impressive. But outside of that, he's wholly unimpressive.

He doesn't do anything on the court that I'd prefer over Duhon for extended periods of time.

Duhon should get his minutes..

There's something about him and that he's big, physical, quick and a good defender, and that he seems to be pushing his own envelope hard and improving on his weaknesses. I could see his type of player continuing to improve over this season and another hard summer of work. Maybe by next season if he's still here we really have something in him. He handles the rock better now. He shoots better now. He is being more aggressive in going to the hole and finishing better now. He's playing pretty damn good defense for a Lakers guard. That I assume continues to improve as well. I believe he's a gym rat both with the ball and with the machines.

IIRC, Morris was only in the game last night with Nash. He's there for defense. Are you saying you want Nash and Duhon in the game at the same time? Can't say I agree with that.

I get what D'antoni's going for. Morris can actually do a decent job covering most PG's. Nash would get burned trying to stay in front of PG's as they try to penetrate, but he's much better at simply chasing shooters (I thought Nash played solid defense on Jack, Jack was just hitting some tough jumpers).

I like that play at the end of the game where we replaced Meeks with Morris. He put his hand right in JR Smith's face and JR missed the shot.

His defense can really be outstanding at times. It's too bad his offense is just fading away into SG territory. This kid has some phyical tools to be a PG, especially in this system.

Either way, I at least like his tenacity.

Morris should have been told long ago to give up on the fastbreak passes, at least close to the basket, he is godawful

That sequence almost made me forget the good pass he made to D12 in the 1st quarter.

For every good play he makes, he'll give us 3-4 bad ones.

No idea MDA putting you on the starting lineup. No idea MDA giving you 6 mins playing time in the whole game. Maybe it's not your problem.

id rather start ebanks at the 3. he can play D too and crash the boards. plus who else would play with more energy purpose and heart than someone whos trying to earn minutes.

I don't understand this clown's purpose. He was out there for 7 measly minutes and had 3 turnovers

There is literally no reason he should ever see now

Morris starting makes zero sense. And yeah, he can be in at times for defensive purposes, but really that should be it. Not many minutes any more please.

He had a solid outing tonight, but I still don't get the point of him starting. He's just... not good enough. We need to start out with a bang... Meeks @ starting SG makes more sense. How much of an impact does Morris's defense really make?

Morris matches up well with the young bucks from Portland he can run around with and annoy. Knicks and guarding Melo not so much.

^We're going to see more young bucks out west than we're going to see Melo's and Lebron's that play in the east.

Having Morris as a combo body on defense makes sense. We can always put MWP in if he's not playing well.

The Blazers star rookie had 11 and 4 on 4/17 shooting, Morris was guarding him a lot, not a coincidence. Yes, he's not great, but he had 8 and 2 on 4/6 shooting, that's solid. I can see complaining if we lost or Morris was garbage, but we won and he wasn't, so why not just give the kid credit?
