No Jeremy Lin. No Dwight Howard. No Derrick Rose. Unbelievable how the sea just parted for Miami.

Naw, I think "Those Guys" still have a pretty good chance of upsetting them.

I had a feeling when I saw it. His knee bent the same way Maynor's did when the latter went down with an ACL tear of his own earlier in the season. Batum had a similar scare which luckily didn't result in any torn ligaments and it wouldn't surprise me if Shumpert also tore a ligament today as well.

it will be a cakewalk for the heat now. feel really bad for rose, my second favorite player in the NBA.

This is upsetting. I feel bad for Rose.

I have no IDEA why he played a min in the fourth...It wasn't even close at that point. Thibedou put him back in with like 7 or 8 mins left and I was sitting there thinking WTF are is he doing...moves like that can put a coach in the unemployment line.

I already said that if the Heat don't win it all this year, they might never win it. The competition this year is the weakest it's been in a long time.

Now if they don't win it all this year, I think they might never do it.

Not his fault IMO. Philly was making a run and while the Bulls were still up by 10 or 12 with a little over a minute to go, hindsight is 20/20. The last thing you want to do is cough up a big lead late, and to be fair, Rose injured himself out there as no one touched him when he went down.

Had not heard about this until the announcement a few minutes ago during the Dal-OKC game. Shame. Think Boston is now the only team left in the East that has any chance against Miami. I would say Spurs, Lakers and Grizzlies have a chance. OKC not so much. And then that's it.

I also feel bad about the Olympic team part. Westbrook is in now, but it gets a tad thin after that for young, excellent all around American PG's.

I hope he can come back the same from this.... an ACL injury for a guy that relies so much on his athleticism can be a game changer unfortunately.

Magic was never the same physically after his knee injury....... Magic had size and his unparalleled passing ability to fall back on. Rose isn't great at any one aspect of the game other than his amazing athleticism.

This not only put Miami in the drivers seat this year.... it does next year as well. Rose won't be 100% until April of next year at least. Really tough break for him and the Bulls and good fortune for Miami at the same time.

Damn. I don't want to sound selfish here... but the first thing I thought of was the fact that I never saw D-Rose in his physical prime live in person. I hope he makes a full recovery, not only because I want to see him live, but he's a good guy of course. One of the few in the NBA

I got to see him last season. We were up in the nose bleeds, but he's truly a fantastic player. You can really get a sense of his ball control at the rim when you're sitting up there.

Nice... I have a couple of buddies who have saw him when the Bulls came into town for the Clippers. You don't get the sense of his speed when watching him on TV, I guess he's *that* much more explosive, fast, and dynamic in person.

I feel bad for Rose, but not so much for Bulls fans. The entire wife's family is from Chicago and are always saying something dumb about Kobe or the Lakers. The jealousy is thick.

When you play on injuries, you overcompensate with other body parts, and that often has a cascading effect in which loads get transferred to other parts that can't handle the extra strain.

The Eastern Conference was already (very) poor in the depth department , it just became worse with Rose injury ... thing is the Bulls without Rose still would beat all Eastern teams not named Heat and Celtics in a playoffs series without a doubt ... and they still have a good shot against Boston because they will absolutely destroy Boston on the glass ..

I think Chicago will be fine at home, I just don't see them winning a big game on the road without Rose
