Devin Ebanks Discussion (Not Returning For 13-14)

Re: Devin Ebanks Discussion (Re-signing on a 1-Year Deal)

Mike Brown is KILLING this kid's game.

He has one of the best pre-seasons of all the Lakers.

Why the F are you playing Jamison at SF when he's 37 years old and hasn't played that position in YEARS?

Okay, I don't understand this one.

The dude had a better preseason than MWP, Meeks, and Jamison, all three play like s*** today, and he still doesn't get any burn. What does he have to do to get PT?

This guy had a better preseason than maybe ANYONE else and the first real game he's a DNP. :man10: Potato Head just loves screwing with this kid.

It's not like he can score 12-15 points per game....

Ebanks should start over Meta. Anyone else feel this way? He fits better with the starting unit because he doesn't need the ball to be effective and he's much more athletic and can slash to the basket to create easy scoring opportunities. He can actually run the floor. Seeing Meta on iso is a nightmare scenario. It's a bad play waiting to happen. Meta should come off the bench where he would get more offensive touches and not try to post up with Howard, Gasol and Kobe already in the paint. Lol. I just cringe everytime he touches the ball because i know 90% of the time, something bad will happen.

I don't think Ebanks needs to start over Ron.

In fact, nothing wild needs to happen with the rotation. Brown just needs to give him some damn playing time!

And stop playing Jamison at SF.

My brother texted me during the game asking if Ebanks was hurt. I said nope, Brown's just not playing him, and he responded "that kid is gonna go Sprewell on his thick-throat a**! " :man10: :man10: :man10:
"Come hell or high water we're gonna be there again. Its just something about the Lakers organization. Mitch is really, really good at it, he's really really good man...."

Ebanks had paid his dues, he can start over MWP. Ron can spark the team off the bench. :jam2:

I was surprised he didn't play at all, but then I remembered Brown plans on using Jamison at the 3. :disagree:

This. Play Jamison at the PF and just give Hill the minutes behind Dwight. Dwight needs to get back in shape anyway and I think the best way is with controlled bursts of energy. Give Hill the 13-15 behind Dwight and give Jamison time behind Gasol who is playing too much already.

KEVIN DING ‏@KevinDing 43m
Besides Meeks staying and Sacre probably staying, Lakers have decided not to bring back Duhon and Ebanks. Morris might return.

I feel similarly about Ebanks as he leaves to your fond memories of Gump.

Well, Ebanks is gone. The Lakers are officially in a downward spiral.

Wait.... I was told repeatedly in 500 word essays that Ebanks was a starter.... he was the next coming of Ariza.... he was going to put MWP on the bench forever.... and now this? :man1:

can't say i'm shocked by this.....Ebanks really regressed rather than developed. however, does this mean that perhaps Ron-Ron is staying around or do they have other more grand plans (besides Clark spending time at the 3) for the SF position...?
