Dickerson Retires

Dickerson Retires

Postby JSM on Sat Oct 25, 2003 12:55 pm

Today, Michael Dickerson announced that he retired. The reason for this early retirement was injuries. He only played 5 years, and only 10 games in 2 years.

Here's what he said. "This is a sad day for me," Dickerson said. "I am grateful to the entire Grizzlies organization for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout my career and especially the lengthy process to attempt to rehab my injuries."

Damn, that's pretty sad...

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

Yep, my brother retired. Sad day eh guys? He had amassed potential and he thought he was to play this year--and this had to happen. Happened to many of the greats--Terrell Brandon beforehand. Oh well, time for him to step down--he had a nice little run in Memphis.

Just a sad, day, Mr. Dickerson, I feel real sorry for your son. A great career smothered to ashes.

I always hate it when players have to retire early they don't get enough chances at getting the ring or MVP anything. Best wishes out to ya M.D.
