Divac to Miami for C. Butler(rumor)

Divac to Miami for C. Butler(rumor)

Postby Shaq Fan on Sat Jul 26, 2003 8:49 am

This a rumor I have heard from a reliable source that there is a rumor down in FL. that since the Queens got Miller they are going to trade Divac for Butler. This makes sence because Miami has the $$$. And they do need a center.

Did anyone else hear this?
Is it really true?

props to hoopskillz, OTK, Eyecue and DA.....

I agree DA.

Why would you trade a promising player that can have a long and productive career for a center that might retire after this coming year???

wtf no way miami would get ripped big time

that's why Miami and Zo had a difference of opinions....Zo wanted to win immediately and Pat wanted to rebuild with youth....which means no room for a 35 year old who moves like a 45 year old.....this rumor ain't even worth mentioning...nothing against you Shaq Fan...good looking out

whoever gave you that information is way off. I don't think if Miami's GM was drunk AND high he would pull of that trade. They won't make the same mistake as Charlotte by trading the future for Divac.
Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

I don't think Miami is dumb enough to ever consider this trade, now if it was eddie jones or brian grant for some decent big man in the NBA then maybe I might think it was a good possibility, because they have been trying to get rid of those 2, but they won't trade butler. Or if this was NY then I would think this might happen because if it's a rip off then they are all for it for some strange reason.
