yeah, howard looks basically identical to last year, imo.

i'd still rather have him than pau as our center, but it hurts less to know that he's not likely to ever be the force of nature he was pre-back injury.

"Dwight Coward had a serious sugar problem". Lamar went cold turkey and gave Coward all of his candy and soda :man10:

Seriously though, I find it hard (or maybe not) to believe that he lived off of only those 2 junk foods, considering his "status".

^ yeah, some dork on espn waxed poetic about it, claiming they've never seen anything like it, nor will they again.

yes, ok. he also came back later to play on it.

can't stand that guy.

Ruh Roh :scurred: With Harden, Lin and Beverly out last night against Pistons' front line, 39 minutes, 39 points on 13-18 and 9-14 FTA, 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 fouls. Just looking at the box score.

He is gonna have great games no one thinks he is garbage. Hell he may even string a few games in a row but his spine is a soft as a jelly fish.

This guy will never win a ring unless he teams up with 2 bonafide all-stars like LeBron did. He can't win a ring as the first option and neither can James Harden.

I love how he wasn't voted in. He'll still get picked as a reserve but still, he went from being the highest vote getter in years past to not even being voted in. :man10:

People don't like him now, he did it to himself, he'll still make the team though. I'm glad he didn't get voted as a starter though, because if Kobe does play in the game, hopefully it's a couple minutes to start the game and then not again, and now he won't have to play with Coward at all.

yeah, really enjoyed that people don't like harden and still don't like howard. don't want to jinx it, but I also enjoy that Houston is clearly a second-tier team after all the hype (like I predicted...).

but yeah, winning big is everything...

Honest question about Dwight for anyone that has watched a number of their games this year, especially last month or so: Honestly, has he shown ANY significant improvement in his post game or any other major areas of basketball skills in which he has been obviously lacking all these years?

I mean this was his big choice. He was better than what the Lakers had to offer him, in his head, and he was excited to be basically starting over with a better new team. Absolutely "perfect" time to really improve his game in weak areas, and show all his detractors to be wrong. And stick it to the Lakers.

So….. DID HE …… make any significant progress in any parts of his game as of this most recent past month? After having the whole summer to work, and the first 1/3 of the season to get into peak "Dwight rhythm".

How about how does he compare to "Orlando Dwight"?

He's a less athletic Orlando Dwight. He hasn't improved on anything that he was weak at and he hasn't perfected anything that he was good at.

He's just Dwight, with the only difference he can't jump as high or bully people around the rim anymore.
