Some NBA franchises fail to help themselves with their offseason moves. I would put the Miami Heat's signing of free agent Samaki Walker (from the Lakers) in that category.
Yes, the Heat needed a backup big man. But if Walker was the best option out there, I question whether the Heat improved their roster.

Walker often sat the bench for L.A., and when he played he was inconsistent (4.4 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 42% FG).

His FG % was a downgade from last year's 51%. Just to let you know...

I think Samaki's game will improve in Miami because:
a.)less competition in the East.
b.)he'll get to play more minutes.
c.)he wont play in the shadows of Shaq and Kobe.

Fred Carter is the man. I like him not because of his great takes, but also for his favorable opinions toward the Lakers. :man10:

Yea, he really sucks. But I can't believe you Laker fans hate him so much. Remember, if he hadn't hit that damn half-court shot in Game 4 of the WCF against the Kings, the Lakers never would have even had a chance to win Game 4. He pretty much saved your team from being demolished by the Kings cause they would have been down 3-1 had Sac-Town won that game. EVEN THOUGH THAT DAMN SHOT CAME AFTER THE BUZZER AND SHOULDN'T HAVE COUNTED!!!!!! :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree: :disagree:

Yes, lets base the outcome of the game on a shot before halftime. Dont mind the missed free throws or other shots. Sounds like a great theory.

OMG you actually think Slava's gonna learn how to play some D? Phil Jax told him that last year and he didn't even respond! All he would do is just show some lack of toughness and let guys shoot jumpers and hooks over him...LOL..... :man5:

Dude, what chance are u talkin about? If your name is not shaq or kobe on the lakers, you have NO chance of proving urself! Haha not really but u know what i mean. When you come to the lakers, expect to be benched bcuz that triangle offense is hard to learn. Slava comes in and contributes but i feel bad for some of the lakers like rush, pargo, slava, mainly the young guys. Cuz if they screw up ONCE, they are out of the game, while vets like fisher, fox, kobe, shaq and even george if they mess up its not all that bad.
