to tell u the truth, even though Golden State didn't make the playoffs, I thought Eric Musselman should've got the coach of the year. He molded a team that was once considered a joke into a playoff-contending club. If they keep Arenas, they could at least have a shot at gettin the 7th seed next season.

I don't really see why Popovich got it. Is it just cuz they're the best team in the league? If they wanna do it that way, just give it to the coach of whoever is the best. Keep in mind that it's not like the Spurs aren't a talented team. They DO HAVE Tim Duncan.

Although I am a Lakers fan, and all biases put aside, I am extremely surprised that Phil Jackson was not AT LEAST a leading candidate for this award. The Lakers started out around 9-20 (right?) but Jackson, cool and calm, stuck with his team and helped them get 5th place seeding in the West. Sometimes, it's weird how they dish out this award to coaches.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

BEST VIDEO EVER ... AND AND THE SECOND BEST.

I totally agree.
Musselman was great this year, he finished second in teh votings. Golden State was terrible last year, and this year, they finished onyl a few games below 500
Point taken on Phil. He didnt panic liek 90% opf the coaches would if tehy were in that hole, very calm!
