. Al Horford Out Indefinitely With Torn Pectoral
Dec 27, 2013 6:00 PM EST

Al Horford has suffered another torn pectoral muscle and is out indefinitely.

Horford suffered a torn pectoral muscle in his left side two seasons ago.

"We will work with Al and complete our due diligence to determine the next best steps," Hawks general manger Danny Ferry said in a statement. "Injuries are part of the challenge of an NBA season."

Kamenetzky Brothers @KamBrothers 27 Dec
MT@David Aldridge: Just got a brief text from Al Horford, who says he's "probably not" going to be back for the playoffs. That truly stinks.

lol, the lone .500 team in the east aside from Miami/indy. can they just cancel the first couple rounds in the east?

too bad for horford, who is one of the more likeable, low key stars in the game right now.

No kidding. I watched the replay like 5 times on this play wear he tore his right pec and it just didn't seem like there was any real torque on his outstretched right arm going for the ball. And he tore his left pec last year.

Strange, I can understand it happening while lifting but playing ball?
