Ibaka's shot to Griffin's jewels (No suspension PG .3)

Re: Ibaka's shot to Griffin's jewels

After looking at the replay, I don't think Ibaka will be suspended. Yeah, it was definitely an intentional nut shot, but I think it was because Griffin was grabbing Ibaka's jersey. You can clearly see in the replay that Griffin almost ripped off Ibaka's jersey....and Ibaka got mad...and swung away.

It all depends on how NBA interpret this. Ibaka did swing down with a closed fist. So you know it was intentional. But NBA thinks it was for grabbing of the jersey, then they might now do it. And knowing the NBA, I'm sure there won't be a suspension.

^A swing is automatic 1 game suspension unless you are MWP which is automatic 3 games
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

They'll probably call it a natural basketball act, and give him free license against Dwight in Tuesday's game.

If Nutsbaka doesn't get suspended , that's the biggest joke ever ... not being ejected after the replay was already laughable

Batum did it in the Olympics and didn't get suspended and it was way worse.

Sounds like a typical Stu Jackson / David Stern decision.

Back on your patriotic thing I see ... at least Batum recognized it was a terrible gesture , Ibaka is playing the " fighting for rebounding position" BS .

Knowing how OKC players get away with everything , I won't be surprised if he just gets fined

I just have to say the requisite "What foul? That was all ball!" line.

That being said (even though I don't like both guys) that looked intentional to me and was suprised that he was not thrown out of the game for a punch.

He will be. He "touched" one of NBA's golden boy... And who doesn't want to do that to Griffin?

But that looked kind of intention to me. AT THE VERY LEAST he was intentionally hitting the guy. And for that he deserves a flagrant.

I'm just saying most gentlemen won't go there. :man10:

It's something my mind almost never goes to unless I'm being mugged. I mean seriously who thinks of that kind of thing even when you're in just a normal fist fight?

Didn't Wade do something similar to this and get suspended for a game? If so I don't see how the league doesn't do the same.

^^^^ yeah got suspended 1 game for punching Sessions ...

OKC is even more protected than the Heat imo though... plus Wade had a recent history of flagrant fouls ... the league is going to pull out the "Ibaka has been a clean player so far in his career" card without a doubt

It would be just disgraceful if he isn't suspended
