I would hope that the Hawks give Jeff Teague in this deal...cuz the Bucks will be left with nobody at PG or i guess they'll move Monta Ellis to PG?

And ATL would be STUPID to take Ilyasova...he's on a terrible deal and he's overrated....god GM's are SO DUMB nowadays...

Ersan is ont overrated or have a terrible deal tbh. After Bucks fired Skilles he played better and made hs contract fair. This is his stats after Skilles fired;

Ersan Ilyasova 14.6 PT .487 of 11.3 FG .765 of 2.6 FT .492 of 3.3 3P 7.0/1.9 RB 1.9 AS 0.7 BL 1.4 ST 1.3 TO 2.9 PF 28.9 MN 20/19 GS (last 20 games)

Pretty good numbers and he plays decent defense.

Ersan Ilyasova - Bucks $7.9M 2013 | $7.9M 2014 | $7.9M 2015 | $7.9M 2016 | $8.4M 2017 (T)

He is 25 years old so he can still get better while taking same amount of money. Also his last year is team option.

I would really want him at Lakers, him and Clark will fit so well with d12.

Hmm...i guess looking at it that way, it's not so bad...but I dunno, he's kind of inconsistent and yes he's played better since skiles was fired....but i think i am just bitter cuz i drafted him 5th round in all 3 fantasy leagues, and he severely underperformed and i had to drop him and then of course he starts playing better midway through the year and he gets snatched up right away by other ppl in my league...argh. :bang:

i don't see jennings in a hawks uniform. i'm guessing a third team would have to get involved there, or perhaps substitute ellis for jennings?

Boston's active on several fronts, including discussions on Josh Smith. Brooklyn is solely focused on making a Smith deal.

It didn't take long, coming out of All-Star Weekend, from the trade chatter to crank back up again.

Some fresh dribbles of that chatter follow in the lead-up to the NBA’s 3 p.m ET Thursday trade deadline:

The Atlanta Hawks have convinced numerous teams that they're definitely trading Josh Smith this week, largely because they see the unpredictable lefty as a virtual lock to leave them in free agency this summer.

So ...

Destinations?

One team close to the situation consulted Monday night predicted that the Nets would ultimately land Smith via a three-way trade after ESPN's Chris Broussard reported Feb. 11 that Smith is a prime Brooklyn Nets trade target.

Another team pinpointed the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks as the strongest contenders to win the Smith sweepstakes. The big worry for both of those teams, though, is whether they could really risk trading for Smith when convincing him to re-sign for the long term is likely to be a serious challenge in either city. Especially with Smith said to be angling for a max deal … and with nobody confusing the Suns or the Bucks with Mikhail Prokohorov's Nets.

Broussard, furthermore, tweeted early Tuesday that the Washington Wizards have made anyone on the roster available for Smith, apart from John Wall, Bradley Beal or Nene Hilario.

He might be able to push his way to Brooklyn, since he won't resign anywhere else.

So you wouldn't do Pau for Josh Smith at THIS point given that Gasol is basically out for the season and we're going to have to trade him in the summer if Dwight stays?

:man10:

Atlanta's asking price is plummeting as they realize the market doesn't want him either. No one wants an idiot. Especially an idiot that's looking for idiotic money.

If the deadline is about to pass and no offer is available, I'd offer them Metta/Duhon/Ebanks for Smith. :man9:

at this point seems like Atl couldn't even give Smith away :man10: , I think his MAX money comment really hurts his trade value, NOBODY should offer him max with this new CBA

My not wanting Smith has nothing to do with Pau. It is about using the cap to get players that are capable of winning..... Bringing him in and pairing him with Dwight ensures that we will spend our top two slots on woefully incomplete players that do not demonstrate any leadership skills whatsoever. We will have some epic dunk highlights along with our first round playoff exits but that's about it.

I'd move Pau for floor balance in the form of a SF that can create his own shot and a serviceable big.

Rockets and Hawks Discuss Josh Smith Trade

But Houston has leverage: cap room this summer to land Smith as a free agent. Limits the assets they are willing to part with now.

WOW, can't belive Atl didn't move him...now gona pretty much lose him for nothing, all the teams that wanted him have cap space to sign him out right in the off-season, except BK but they can't do S&T either.

Really surprised he wasn't moved. Hate that he's stuck here in Atlanta for the rest of the season. I would've really pushed for a Gortat centered deal. I think Josh would've thrived in a Phoenix system and it'd finally allow Horford to move to his natural position.

John N. Mitchell of the Philadelphia Inquirer wrote:Sources from both teams confirmed that the Sixers and the Hawks were close to a deal that would have sent Sixers Evan Turner and Spencer Hawes to the Hawks for forward Josh Smith. The trade deadline passed last month with no deal.

Smith, who will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, said he tried to ignore the trade talk.

"I really didn't pay much attention to everything that was in the media," Smith said. "I knew there were discussions, but as a player you can't listen to all that stuff. I just want to do whatever I can for the Atlanta Hawks to help us in the playoffs."
