Meh, a season too late, Jordan Hill isn't injured anymore. Could do worse for the minimum I guess though, could probably do better as well.

Get him. Move Hill as an asset. It isn't like Dantoni will play hill a lot or that Kenyon didnt play well last year and would be cheaper.

If we moved Pau for a wing player he could be used in a platoon at PF......

Wanted to get him last season but now I don't see how he fits unless we move Pau or Hill.

Jordan has fully recovered. But what if Earl is gone?

Good insurance policy for both Dwight & Earl. If we have to start Pau at C being able to rotate Hill/Martin/Clark should keep our defense solid.

If he's gone yeah I probably take a shot with the minimum.

I agree.

But this is probably the case. Players/agents trying to jockey for better negotiations with teams other than the Lakers.
There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

For 1 year vet minimum? Of course you would take that. He can finish, rebound, and play defense. Clark is no guarantee to come back. If we don't end up needing him, what does it matter? Any quality player you can get with the vet minimum, you take. It's as simple as that.

Just like last season I'd love to add Martin.

We need some swagger on this team. He's a d***, but he's a good teammate. I say absolutely.

But I don't think he's coming here. He had a chance last season and he said no.

Wanted him last year, nothing's changed. If we can get him for cheap, put the contract in front of him right now. I'd like someone who's D at the rim makes Bron pout after the game about physical play. That also helps prevent Dwight from using all his fouls at the rim, assuming he stays.

But like real say, he had a chance to come here last year and didn't. Why would he come here now, when there is more uncertainly, we aren't in as good of a position to win, and he has other viable options.

Didn't he not come here last year because of playing time? He wanted minutes, we couldn't offer that.

If D12 and Clark leave, he becomes a 20 minute a night player.

Sure, he is young and athletic.

K-Mart can still play defense and also help defend the pick and roll.

I for one didn't mean to imply that we don't need another backup big, I only meant Martin wouldn't be my top choice. I brought up Jordan Hill not being injured with the thinking that Dwight will stay, meaning we have a better version of Martin already. If Dwight leaves though, yeah, we need all the front court help we can get, and we couldn't be picky. Being realistic though, with what we have to offer we'd probably to lucky to sign Martin with or without Dwight with how bigs are getting paid right now.

^ to be fair, there aren't really many players that address our needs and are attainable.. We need people who prioritize defense. All this talk about offense is driving me crazy. Defense should be our priority, and Martin can still play solid D.
I like Hill, I want him here, but let's not pretend that he's a defensive stopper or anything close. His team ball IQ is quite low, and tends to make stupid fouls too. So we need all the help we can get on the defensive end. It's not like D'Antoni is making things easier.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.
