I'd much rather try and get a backup at SF like Carlos Delfino. He would be perfect, but will likely choose a slightly bigger role with another team and or take more money else where. I'm sure management would reassure that he's willing to play behind them when Dwight returns.

That does not make sense. Production does not equal efficiency. Kobe Bryant can score 27 points on 43% shooting, but that wouldn't make him more efficient than Paul Pierce who scores 22 points on 45%. Efficiency is not dictated by output, it's dictated by the amount of output in comparison to the amount of work/effort (shots) being put into the equation.

Efficiency actually is dictated FG%.

OMG people who cares who's better on offense between Howard/Bynum? Bottomline Dwight is on our team and is the better fit/player. Drew I love him, but he's not a Laker anymore.

K-Mart could be a really big difference maker for us while Dwight is out.. Jamison can score but he's old & not very efficient.. & he doesn't play defense at all.. Him & K-Mart will be night & day in their roles.. Jamison - instant offense, K-Mart defensive stopper that gets points off put backs & oops.. We have Jordan Hill as the hustle rebounder, but he'll be the primary backup at Center while D12 recovers.. God forbid we suffer an injury to any of those 3.. Then we're depending on Clark or Sacre for serious minutes.. They've already went all out.. I don't see why you'd take that risk with our frontcourt when you can just spend another 1.5 or whatever & guarantee our success.. Gasol/Jamison/K-Mart/Hill can handle an unexpected injury & not cause us to lose a ton of games..

I expect Dwight to start in the opener. Be positive.

Well if those are his options, right now I can't imagine anyone picking the Knicks over the Lakers in their right mind.
