Kevin Durant Discussion

Who wins the MVP, Kevin Durant or Paul George? Both have been playing lights out, and shooting pretty well. Both have their teams and great records and standings, so who wins it, if it came down to the two of them?

The MVP is Kevin Durants' to lose. As much as I love George, Durant is far more important and critical to his teams success at this point.

Durant. keeping them on top with westbrook missing half the season or more is quite a feat.

Durant does. He's putting up just absolutely electric numbers in a harder conference.

Does KD have his own thread yet?

Postby Jazzygirl205 on Wed Jan 22, 2014 2:19 am

He's found his gear now. Even LeBron is stanning. Kevin has been called too reserved and not hungry enough. I don,'t think he's only answering his critics but himself. He really wants a title, right now. I agree with the guys on Sportscenter for a change Kevin Durant is a special player and is sometimes taken for granted. I would like to see him in the finals again, I hope he doesn't fizzle out. If the Pacers don't make the finals, it's fine because a LeBron/KD finals is still a show to witness, since the Kobe LBJ finals could never happen.

Oh can the mods put the Paul George/KD MVP thread in this one too? Thank you :)

KD will only win it because the King is coasting and voters are tired of voting for the Chosen one ... I'm already seeing this on the web :man10:

Listening to some of the ESPN pundits some have said that KD will win it because the media is getting tired of giving it to Lebron. :man10:
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Speaking of scoring outbursts I like how they just coasted through Kobe's little scoring segment and forgot to mention he averaged 35.4 ppg that season too, considering how much depth the league still had during that time, that was pretty amazing.

But what KD is doing is awesome as well because much like Kobe most of his points come from outside of the paint. These players only come around very few times so I will like to salvage young KD as well. He and Derrick Rose are who I will take to when Kobe retires :)

^^ Love the nickname and the photo you included, but I don't view Durant as a stone cold killer who will rip your heart out, like Kobe would. Durant just seems like a nice guy who happens to be amazing at basketball. But a grim reaper? Ehhh... at least they got the "slim" part right.

I guess Durantula isn't cool anymore.

Lebron era is fading soon and the NBA is entering Durant time right now !
