They paid (or inherited?) too much for Perkins, now that I had a chance to look at their salary cap from hoopsworld and as of 2 days ago, they were at $64 million.

I'm not really understanding why they didn't sign Martin. At worst, this deal would have brought them near or at the threshold.

Well they'd still be over the cap, it'd take them right to the luxury tax threshold and then they'd still need to sign more players after that to complete their team.

Martin has been inconsistent, but 7 mil per for a player with his ability is a good price, I don't get the Thunder letting him go.

That Harden trade is one of the worst trades ever.
There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.
