See, there are some players that want what Jordan had. That is to be able to have their cake and eat it too. In this case win a title and be make mad money. The Spurs will be a title contending team and with Kidd their chances of a repeat is better. However, the fact of the matter is Shaq is right now, at this very moment working out ! We all know this. No one on this planet will be able to stop a very healthy Shaq. Hell, it took Duncan AND Robinson to contain him recently. With Robinson gone, so does the Spurs Twin Towers. The title is in LA next year, there's no doubt about it. So as far as Kidd goes, next year he'll be paid, but he won't make the finals for a third year straight.

Agree that everything is dependent on Shaq's health and condition. If he finds the anger and the determination he had during his MVP season, then no doubt the Lakers will win the title next year.

No one can expect a lil' somethin for nothin. I know Kidd is worth the money, but he hasn't proven really anything yet. He's just another good player without a ring, like Malone, like the rest. It's sad if he's gonna sign with SA, cuz then he's never gonna get a title. lol.

Kidd will regret it if he goes to San Antonio...PERIOD...

To correct KINGJSUN, umm KIDD did make the finals for the Last two years but just didn't win it....

I think he ment that Kidd was in the finals for the 2nd str8 time, but if he's with the Spurs he wont make it to the finals.

I think we need O'Neal. If he'll take a back seat to Tim. Kidd would take time away from Parker, Jackson, Claxton, and Ginobilly. We need a big man to work with Tim the way that Dave did. Big task. I think that Kidd wants to go to Dallas anyway.

Jason won't go to dallas, he already played there once before and Dallas can only offer him the MLE, we can do the same and we can GUARANTEE him the trophy...no other MLE team can do that...

I think that Dallas wants to trade Nash for Kidd. And keep there MLE for Zo.

They can't do that, the NETS would never take Steve Nash for Jason Kidd straight up, and besides, they would have to give Kidd a much smaller contract to do the sign and trade, or Dallas (if the contract allows for it under the rules) would have to considerably RAISE the contract value of Steve Nash...it won't happen...

Cuban's too smart to do the Nash for Kidd trade. If they were to get Kidd, they wouldn't trade anybody who is the core of the team... I think Jersey would do a sign and trade. That way they get something for Kidd.

If jersey get's rid of anybody other than Kidd, they will either:

A) Hurt the team
or
B) Hurt the team

If he wants to leave there is not much Jersey can do to stop him.

By the way Kenyon Martin called out Keith Van Horne last year for not producing in the finals. Where was he the last two games of the finals this year? If he wants Kidd to stay he better start putting his money were his mouth is.
