Knicks And Bulls In Trade Talks

Knicks And Bulls In Trade Talks

Postby koolkobe on Wed Feb 18, 2009 7:10 pm

The Knicks and Bulls are discussing a trade for Larry Hughes with the Knicks offering Malik Rose's expiring contract. Another player, perhaps Jerome James, would have to be sent to Chicago to make the deal work. Hughes' contract runs through the 2009-2010 season.

Nate Robinson might be included in the deal and David Lee's name has been mentioned as well. Lee's inclusion would mean Tyrus Thomas or Joakim Noah, whose game Donnie Walsh likes, would be sent to New York.

The Knick front office is split on whether to retain Lee as a restricted free-agent this summer. Some feel he has already hit his ceiling.

I think the Knicks should get rid of Lee and Robinson while they get good value for them. Mike D'Antoni's system makes average players look like superstars, but these aren't championship players. If the Knicks are serious about getting into the 2010 Free Agent market, they need to drop those salaries and open up some space while keeping some solid role players.
Derek Fisher is the heart and soul of this team- Kobe(Black Mamba)
When we win it, it's going to taste much sweeter knowing I played with the injury- Andrew(Lionheart)
Tomorrow is another opportunity to accomplish great things- Pau(Pauwer)
Ron Artest is the Game 7 MVP- Phil(Zen Master)

If we don't win the championship, it's my fault- Ron(Tru Warier)

Larry Hughes To Knicks Falls Apart

The rumored deal which would have seen Larry Hughes become a member of the New York Knicks fell apart on Wednesday, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

The deal was believed to involve Malik Rose and Jerome James.

After Chicago's trade with Sacramento on Wednesday, the Bulls only have 12 players. With Larry Hughes basically de-activated, the Bulls have less than this available. Hughes did not attend Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
