Are you serious?? Wow... That'd be nuts. Imagine if we pick up Delonte now.
Damn you Mark Cuban.Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo
Mavericks career for Melvin Ely and Chris Douglas-Roberts didn't last past the weekend as they were both waived.

Why did Cuban even sign them in the first place? The ink didn't even dry before they were let go.

CDR off the bench would have been sweet.

How can you blame Mike Brown for that when DJO played less than CDR did during preseason? And when Mitch is the one making that decision?

^^ I agree with Lakerswiz on this one as discussed in the other LD thread. I blame Brown for plenty of things, but not this decision which was obviously based on having so many guaranteed contracts this year already.

I'm not blaming Brown, but indirectly, at the very least, he played a role. If we had 'Antoni to start the season CDR being young and relatively athletic would have gotten more playing time and a chance to shine in preseason, and IMO most likely he makes the team over at least DJO if not also Ebanks. So no, Brown didn't cut him, but I do believe losing him was another casualty of Brown's stupid system holding all of our players back. CDR even in that garbage system surrounded by a garbage bench lineup thrown out there by Brown, still looked decent, showed his athleticism and hustle, and I believe under a real coach he would have looked even better and made the team. It's not a huge deal, it's over with, but it's a bad example of us getting rid of a useful player in favor of players that won't ever play.
