Lamar Odom Discussion: Waived, not up to NBA standard (38)

Re: Lakers Reach out to Lamar Odom

This is more possible/realistic:

PG: Nash / Blake / Morris
SG: Kobe / Meeks / Sasha
SF: McGrady / Bell
PF: Odom / Radmanovic / Kelly
C: Pau / Hill / Sacre
The End is nigh. Time for a total Cut and Shuffle. Kobe contract was a mistake...time to avoid making more. The future is here, whether we want it to be or not. An era is over, but for the death rattle, and it's time for the cycle to begin anew. Growth and change are scary and painful, but alas...nothing worth achieving comes easily.

That's a playoff team right there. First round exit but still a playoff team imo.

Agreed. Probably 46-52 wins and 5 or 6 games in the first round. Definitely better than just giving up and sucking, draft pick or no. We aren't going to contend, but I want my Lakers to give it everything they've got. :jam2:

OK, you wanna talk old awesome players route...how about THIS then:

PG: Nash / Blake / Iverson
SG: Kobe / Meeks / Arenas
SF: McGrady / Redd / Bell
PF: Odom / Radmanovic / Kelly
C: Pau / JO / Hill

hell yea bring back LO too
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

That would be nice

Add in Morrow to that starting SF spot...

Okay really, Lamar is never gonna be better than 10/5. however, he was called the heart and soul of this team and I think he's one of the few guys that can through to Kobe.

I want Odom.

Would be great! Is he FA?

I would LOVE this. Why not? We're just waiting for 2014 anyway. That would be fun to watch.

I totally forgot..... wasn't he really pissed at management?

Since he's a sensitive dude, he's probably still not over it

Lol no way
Terrible D.
All of T-Mac's minutes this season were in garbage time. He's not even close to being a starting player.
Odom declined even faster than Pau. Also can't be a starter.
Radmanovic? !
Bell?
That's our bench?

^ If Pau and Nash and Kobe were all 100%, I'd say it's a playoff team...

But they're not even close to that. :man10:

Nash/Blake/FA
Kobe/Sasha/Meeks
Ariza or Morrow/Young
LO/R-Kelly
Pau/Hill/JO

That's what I want our roster to look like next season.. I'm fully confident in Kobe's ability to lead that team to the playoffs & make a decent run.. We know Hill works well next to Pau & of course LO does too.. Not sure which of those guys starts at PF. If R-Kelly ends up being good & we stay healthy, we could be a better team than we were last year..

vet min? worth a shot. it's not like ryan Kelly's an obvious upgrade, even over the post-lakers odom. I still have a soft spot for him, too.

The Spurs have had "exploratory" talks with free agent Anthony Morrow, according to FOX 29 San Antonio.

We should sign Chauncey Billups since he's a FA and tore his achillies as well

Actually Odom may go to Lakers over Clippers which would be interesting

@LakerNation

The Lakers may reunite with former player, Sasha Vujacic.

Again, would love to see LO back here, fat as he is, bad as he was in Dallas and for the Clippers. It would just be fun to see him home playing with Kobe and Pau again. I also don't believe he's as bad as the last 2 seasons, and that he would look at least a little better here being back home and happy having mended things with the Lakers. I also think he's probably the best we can do with the minimum at PF.

That last sentence is probably the most important to why he's thinking of returning. :man10:
