Clipper said that they will not match offer. The link was on ESPN yesterday, but its gone now. The heat could use Odom as a point forward.

Where on ESPN did you read that, cause what I read is completely different. It says they do intend to match any offer made to Odom.

Lamar Odom could be a rich young man very soon.

Odom is currently negotiating an offer sheet with the Heat worth between $60-$70 million, ESPN's Kevin Frazier reported Tuesday night.

The New York native told ESPN that he has always wanted to play with Miami coach Pat Riley.

Because Odom is a restricted free agent, Miami has withheld an offer sheet until now largely on the assumption that the Clippers would match. Clippers general manager Elgin Baylor has informed Odom that L.A. does intend to match any offer.

Unless the Clippers are looking to sign Jason Terry, i dont see any reason why they WOULDNT match Odom's offer. I think the young nucleus of Brand, Odom, and Maggette would make a great triple threat. They would have a very bright future down in young LA. And with guys like jaric richardson wilcox and ely still improving, they can make it big in the west if Mike Dunleavy can get these guys together like he did with the blazers in his prime.

Even if they dont match Odom's offer, they can still have a decent starting lineup with wilcox brand maggette richardson and jaric.
