Thanks for putting this together.

One question though. Why do you only have Kobe with 4 GWs this season?

He has all six. Perhaps you over looked the first two because they had 2009 next to them?

Kobe will be #1 on that list soon. He's right behind MJ, and he can best those numbers this season.

1 shot, 1 buzzer-beater... Kobe's threes are better, but FTs will have to wait until next season.

If the numbers are correct --

27 < 28. That's all you can say about it. Don't worry, Kobe will hit few more.

This is a great list BUT I don't agree with your definition of game winner = last basket made.

For ex: Kobe's game winner in game 4 in the 2000 finals is not official regarding your list, 'cause somebody else hit a free throw after. That doesn't matter, it's still a game winner.

In addition, Jordan's game winner in MSG in December 2001 with 3,2sec left, is official on your list. But after that, Chris Witney hit 2 free throws for Washington, then Allan Houston hit a three at the buzzer for the Knicks...doesn't matter, it's still a GW shot.

What do you think?

For Kobe's basket in Indiana, my bad...they were up by one so it's not really a game winner. It's a dagger. lol :man12:

But are we really gonna count that absurd no call by Lebron against the Wizards in 06 on the list. I mean come on...

Kobe should be up there.. look how many games our bench blows the lead on and Kobe has to come in and win the game in the 4th. Ends up a last second effort quite often because of that. We'd have one crappy mediocre record right now without all the game winners this season no doubt.

You forgot his GW against San Antonio in Game 1 of the 08 WCF. Score tied, and less than 24 seconds left. Just cause Sasha hit free throws after doesn't change the fact that it was a game winner.

Jordans career was crazy.. wish he would have been allowed to enter the league out of high school and not retired twice. What a ridiculous stats line he'd have.

Kobe's blowing through historical players now. It's just sad people like Durant will surpass all of his stats not long after. Won't have the rings, but they'll definitely trump his personal stats line.
