T-Mac to San Antonio. Playoff eligible

Tracy McGrady will sign with the San Antonio Spurs for the rest of the season, league sources tell Y! Sports.

I think Ginobili might be hurting big time, hasn't played in last 10 games and thats why I think they added, I cant think of any other reason really they have a solid SG/SF rotation already...Danny Green/Kawhi Leonard/Ginobili and Nando De Colo

So T-Mac will be bringing his 1st round curse to San Antonio eh

If a player was cut or waived by a certain date, they're playoff eligible. If they were not waived or cut by that date, then they weren't.

For instance: McGrady was never signed, therefore he was playoff eligible.

Raja Bell was signed with the Jazz until PAST the deadline for players to remain eligible, therefore he is NOT eligible.

Does McGrady getting to the 2nd round on the bench injured in street clothes when the Rockets played us in '09 not count? I mean he wasn't playing, but his team did still get out of the 1st round.

i'm really curious as to what went down with Jackson and Popovich...to have him waived and resort to calling up T-MAC from China, it musta been an epic meltdown

Nah, I don't think it does

Even if it did, really don't care that much about these categories.. Dude was an amazing player, but he was unlucky with injuries and had a lot of trouble being the same player he was before.. Yeah his work ethic wasn't all that great and yeah he was kind of a chucker, but talent-wise he's one of the best I've seen considering potential.

BTW, I LOVE your avi

Mitch forced their hand to go out and do something after we took the NBA by storm with bringing back the Glock.

He was an amazing player, I don't see it as his fault alone his teams never got out of the 1st round.

And thanks, Garden State is one my favorite movies of all time, Portman at her finest, makes you fall in love with her watching that movie every time.

Jackson and Popovich always had a contentious relationship so it would not surprised me if it came to a head prior to the playoffs. I don't think he was getting enough playing time to be happy given the glut of wings they have on their roster so both parties decided to go their separate ways.
Nor can the Lakers get blamed for always making the right decisions over decades. At some point its not just luck or "gamble", its superior management and superior ownership.
