I don't have either Miller or Ray Allen in my top 10, but if it's best shooters they are both in my top 5.

I'll go:

I was really surprised no one mentioned Ginobili. I'd put him in the top 10 without a doubt.

At SG, in addition to the 6-7 obvious ones, I've got Sam Jones and Hal Greer well ahead of Reggie and Bill Sharman slightly above him. Definitely also Dumars and Iverson in front but not Ray. So that puts Reggie around 11th or 12th or so.

No, that was only Mark Jackson clearly exaggerating.

That being said, Reggie was definitely a great SG. Incredible shooter, and very, very clutch. He's a very well deserved Hall of Famer, but of course, that's it.

Also, he did a lot more than just 8 points in 9 seconds. He had some impressive games.

Jordan and Kobe are clearly the best 2 players, but when talking about pure SG's, I think Ray Allen and Reggie Miller are the more prototypical 2 guard. Shooting is the most important aspect of a SG, and those two fit the bill better.

If for example, Magic played PG and Lebron played SF, I think Reggie/Allen would fit in better than Jordan or Kobe. (at least on the offensive end) They move better without the ball, and spread the floor more.

In that regard, they are the two best shooters ever, and I would put those two in the Top 5.

I find him overrated TBH...

Hes top 10, but he was almost exclusively a shooter, to be top 5 in the game you have to have a mastery of all skills.

This would be my list as well. Maravich was simply amazing and ahead of his time. IMO he revolutionized the 2 guard like Baylor did the SF....
