C.J. Miles has agreed to a two-year deal with the Cavaliers where he will compete for a spot in the starting lineup at small forward.

Miles was also pursued by the Lakers, Rockets, Bucks and Mavericks.

That's fine. I won't really be upset unless I found out he signed for the minimum... that'd be troubling.

I guess the chance to start makes it more understandable.

More chance to shine on a subpar team.

He signed for more than minimum....and its a 2 yr deal...pass.

I don't mind him going there because they actually needed a SF...he can probably start there. I would have been mad if he went to a crap team that already had like 8 wing players...seems like thats what all these players have been doing all summer...going to teams that already have 8 players playing the same position as them.

Oh well, bring on Meeks and Barbosa...

Yes, in a sign and trade to Orlando which nets us Dwight Howard / JRich, and let's the Cavs hang onto Varejao and Waiters. :man1:

So losing was a priority for him.

On those teams its much easier to miss games because of "general soreness", "knee tendonitis" or "back spasms"

I don't get this ... really ... he is dumb ... he would have much greater chance to get a good contract if he was somewhat successful with us ... ala Ariza, Shannon

Quite true. It's funny that we had to trade for Ariza and Shannon in order for them to get noticed... then get a payday elsewhere.

I'm sure Miles would have forced Ebanks (if he signs with us) in Brown's dog house. Plus, he'd get even more minutes when Metta gets ejected or whatever.

Oh well; hard to outright sign any young athletic blood with a stacked starting lineup. Looks like Barbosa is a more realistic option than Meeks.

problem is we need 2/3 combo more than 1/2 combo IMO

^ Agreed. We can get by with Blake as the backup 1 if we have a decent 2/3 combo. I'm thinking Meeks amd Redd.
