Now back to not caring about the Spurs. Congrats to San Antonio's big 3 though, that was moving seeing win together for what maybe the last time.

I wish Kobe could have gone out with 6 in his final seasons, that's not likely to happen though.

Well deserved trophy for the Spurs. They were just the better team. Embodiment of unselfish basketball these Finals compared to the other team.

Kawhi Leonard... welcome to stardom!

Yall a little rough on LBJ...lol as much as I hate to see him overtake Kobe legacy wise..there's no shame to losing to a much dominate Spurs team. This is Lebron's 4th straight finals trip, he had to lose somehow.

It reminds me alot of the Pistons vs Lakers finals matchup. LBJ wasn't enough. Wade, Bosh disappeared along with the rest of the Heat team.

^ Bron disappeared too. Averaged 4 points in the 4th for the series. Embarrassing.

Foxy just called out Bron. Said something like "why take your foot off the throttle...specifically LeBron James".
"Let me say one more thing about Kobe. He will be the best player in the history of the game. If he keeps doing what he's doing, there is no stopping him. He is that good." - Shaquille O'Neal in his autobiography, "Shaq Talks Back"

Lol only in a Laker forum where Lebron drops 31 10 5 2 blks will fans say Lebron disappeared...I'm not sure what his stats in the series were but he carried this Heat team all season, all playoffs.

I'm just as happy that Heat lost because I really can't stand Wade. I dislike him as a basketball player. But the hate on Lebron is getting a bit old..he's an amazing player. He's FUN to watch, he makes all his teammates better. He definitely will never be better than Jordan, or Kobe..but why knock on such a special special talent?

- He makes his teammates better.
- He lost because his teammates dissapeared
- He plays with 3 future hall of famers.

I see some kind of contradiction here.

Stats are a beautiful thing.

1st quarter - 17 points, 6 boards
2nd-4th quarter - 14 points, 4 boards

Add that to absolutely zero defense being played by him and I don't remember him having an impact at all after the 1st.

He sure can put up STATS but watching the game, he didn't do much in the sense of trying to will his team to victory.

YOu don't call 4 points in the 4th quarter for the star player disappearing? I understand appreciating the guys game but to ignore the elephant in the room isn't something to be simply passed by cause its "Lebron"
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

LeBron averaged 4 more points then I did in the 4th quarter this series.

In my defense, I haven't played on an organized team in nearly 30 years.

I watched Kobe get dragged his entire career, and still do, far worse than what LeBron has ever gotten. People need to stop boo hoping over any slight criticism LeBron gets, because overall he's placed on a pedestal 24/7. Everyone knows he's great and arguably the best player on the planet, but he's not exempt from being dissected.

What do yall think Miami does if Bron flees? I don't see Bosh or Wade leaving that money on the table. They're not going to get anything close to $20m again, especially with their deteriorating play. They would almost enough for a max player, but only six players on the roster. Do you throw that money at a FA and continue to fill the rest of your roster with minimum contracts? They would have to get some offensive fire power -- Stuckey, Bledsoe, or Lowry from the guard spots/Monroe, Amare, or Pau up front. Even with any of those guys, they would instantly drop to the bottom of the Eastern playoff bracket. Or do you try to build a team and stop buying players? Or tank for Jahlil Okafor in next summer's draft?

^^ They sign Melo? :man10: So maybe they weren't thinking of a big 4, but a replacement for LeBron.

In the real world, the day Steph awoke at 9 a.m. to begin his Ustream show, Kobe Bryant probably awoke at the same time, even if it was 6 a.m. in California, and lifted weights.

The Heat brought this on themselves with that celebration after LeBron signed talking about how he'd win a string of championships and while 2 is better than 0 the Heat aren't the greatest team ever they're more like the 1989-1990 Pistons success wise more than anything.
