Is that because he hates being there and losing for 6 seasons and he's vocal about losing? If so, I can understand. If its something else, I'd be concerned.

Stephen A said the others, within the organization, feel he points fingers at everyone and never takes accountability. I wanted him. Past tense.

As a Bruin I didn't like him so much at UCLA nor the way he left. I also don't like that talk he's doing about not making the playoffs after six years. Some of that has to come back on him as the best player on the team.

I've been down on him as a prospect for some time. I liked the idea of pairing him up with Howard because I think their styles could be complementary, but since Dwight left I have little interest in Kevin Love.

He's hurt too often, his stats seems hollow to me, he plays very little defense, and he hasn't taken his team to the playoffs. I don't want him to be our max contract player. He's not a number two guy nor a number one guy. He might be a number three guy, maybe.

While it may be true and they could make a very decent offer (certainly better than ours)... I can't really believe that as a rumor if it comes from Bill Simmons... specially if its about the Celtics (or Lakers).

The Celtics seem set on trying to get to Love. They're willing to make huge moves to get to him. Apparently they're willing to offer #6/#17/Future 1sts/Any player not named Rondo.

One source indicated Denver and Golden State have both made more intriguing offers, and there are other teams very much in the picture, as well. There have been conflicting reports on whether the Warriors would make Klay Thompson available, but the Wolves are said to be confident they can find a more than acceptable deal there. Boston Herald - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.VLCITDlP.dpuf

Baxter Holmes: After talking to league sources, my new top-three potential destinations for Kevin Love: 1. GSW. 2. Chicago. 3. Denver. Twitter @BaxterHolmes - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.VLCITDlP.dpuf

The Celtics' pursuit of Kevin Love isn't as hot as reports are indicating. Sources close to the situation have told the Herald that Boston's offer of draft picks and players isn’t nearly the best the Timberwolves have received — or expect to receive — for their All-Star forward. The Celtics are willing to discuss a number of options, but none of them includes the quality of player with NBA experience that Minnesota is seeking or believes it can get elsewhere. Boston Herald - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.VLCITDlP.dpuf

At present, however, what the Celtics have to offer isn’t getting it done. According to a source, the first-round picks they own from the Nets are not seen as being of overwhelming value, and, where the Celts had an Al Jefferson to offer Minnesota for Kevin Garnett six years ago, neither Jared Sullinger nor Kelly Olynyk rises to that level in the Wolves' eyes this time around. Boston Herald - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.VLCITDlP.dpuf

As for the Celtics' No. 6 overall pick, one NBA source has been told directly that Minnesota believes it can get a player of equal quality later in the first round. The Timberwolves hold the 13th pick, but multiple offers would allow them to select higher. At this point, it would appear the Celtics' best chance to land Love this summer is to expand their sights and involve a third team. The goal would be to find a player who could give Minnesota more immediate help than will the draft picks. Boston Herald - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.VLCITDlP.dpuf

As Bulpett reports, the Nuggets would give up forward Kenneth Faried and swingman Wilson Chandler for Love, and would also give Minnesota another player Denver apparently plans on acquiring in a potential three-team deal, perhaps guard-forward Arron Afflalo from the Orlando Magic.

I don't see him staying in Denver, but by all means Denver, gut your team for him.

Yeah, that's a bad trade for GS, but maybe they think they've hit their peak with the current roster and think they need to switch things up a bit.

Lee's contract runs through this upcoming season and next; an albatross of a contract if you ask me, and if you can package him with anybody outside of Klay, I'd that and run...I wouldn't include Klay in those negotiations even if it mean not getting Love for various reasons...Klay has improved steadily over his time in the league; he already had one of the purest shots in the game, but his playmaking skills have improved quite noticeably, his defense on some of the best PG's over the last couple of years (Parker, Paul) has been really good; IMO, he's GS's best defender. Additionally, he has an advantageous contract right now; meaning he's cheap for what he produces...there's no way I'd give up Thompson.

I'm sure Love being traded will include an extension promise. I just don't see players giving up that extra year at a max value..... and especially to go to the train wreck that will be our team for the next 2 to 4 years. He'd be half way through that contract before we were able to really rebuild in a meaningful way.

As it stands we don't even have a coach..... after 2.5 months.....

This is a bad move for them and could potentially make them worse. With that, the Lakers have a great shot at convincing him to come to LA after this season.

Go Warriors!

I'd take that deal for both parties. Curry-?-Harrison-Love-Bogut. It's a lot to give up but losing Lee is a good thing for them, I'd take Love over Klay. Honestly feel like it's a fair deal, which almost never occurs.

Edit: who ever trades for Love I guarantee it to be a sign and trade, where he goes that team will only trade for him given an extension obviously.

It's not in Love's best interest to sign an extension. The most he'd do is guarantee whatever team takes him that he'll sign long-term. It's better for him to go into free agency so he can get more money.

The odds of him coming here are minimal IMO. If he's our supposed post-Kobe "star" I really don't want him then. He's not going to lead a team without a "number one" guy.... and I'm suspect that any true number one guy will move anywhere via FA under this CBA. At best it will be a trade and we got nothing for a while to trade.

^I'm with you. He's overvalued IMO. He's injury prone, can't slide over to center, and is a terrible defender. He's probably a second option on a contender if you have a prime Tyson Chandler type center backing him up, and a Kobe/Lebron type wing as a number one option. to put it short, it would be really hard to build a championship contender around him. He's not a Garnett/Gasol franchise changer. Both of those guys could defend in their prime, and could play power forward and center. Love is restricted to the power forward position due to his lack of length/height.

Love needs a great center and a good penetrating guard. He's not a number one but is a damn good number 2. That's why I think Hou is a perfect fit for him. Dwight down low commands double teams, Harden gets into the paint at will, Love from the outside would be deadly. He's like Bosh times 10.

But he's not going there, it'll be interesting. If he believes it's not in his best interest to sign an extension before a trade, then I hope he realizes he'll be in Minny all next season. No team wants to give up the assets to acquire Love, only for him to dip out AKA Howard.

So far I'd rank it.....

1.) Denver
2.) GSW
3.) Boston

If Denver can pull off giving them Afflalo/Faried/Chandler, that's a good haul. I would be jumping for joy if we got that for Dwight.

That's funny (re: Love to LA) because my sources say the opposite. :man10:

Take it with a heap of salt, but I've heard from people around UCLA that ever since he declared for the NBA, Love wanted to be a Laker. He's been angling for a way to get here for years. Obviously things change, but from what I've heard and from the long standing "smoke" about wanting to be a Laker, I think Sheridan is full of it.

That being said, I don't think that means he wants to be a Laker at all costs. If a better situation comes up I'm sure he'll go for it.

It may even be this:

PG: Curry
SG: Harrison
SF: Iggy
PF: Love
C: Bogut

Not much of a bench though with Barnes possibly moving to the starting lineup even though I think that would help his game out playing with Curry again like he did his rookie year.
