Kobe got his in the flow out of the game, otherwise Gasol wouldn't have had 30 points.

ALso our game was never competitive since kobe pretty much put us at a double digit advantage for most of the game and they never came close until. They piled on points towards the end when we essentially "shut it down" about half way through the 4th.

What lebron did tonight impressive. No doubt about it. No one here's denying that.

But Kobe's show > what lebron did tonight.

If we are talking about Kobe's show of course it is >>>>>>>>>>>> Lebron's boring sh1t... piss me off. It is so hard for Kobe to impress the media w/ his number after he has done 81.
The media is going to compare the stats all day tomorrow but lets hope LA beat Boston tomorrow and take over all the front pages of all sport sites again.

They're both damn good performances.

I said it was a good performance, its just not better than Kobe's. Kobe put on a show, Lebron's was a preplanned, forced, contrived, performance to up Kobe.

To each his own - I won't argue that. LeBron "rising" to the challenge that the media & fans wanted wasn't a surprise.

LeBron diving for the last rebound is kind of like leaving Kobe in when the Lakers were up comfortably. They both wanted something, and they both got it.

Clearly, these are the two best back-to-back performances in MSG in a long time, if not ever.

Once again, Labron James is now on ESPN front page headline (the poll also). The most over hype players all time by the media/NBA.

But yeah, can deny that he had a great game, great performance.

Labron ( 52 points in 33 field goal attempt. 44 mins )

Kobe ( 61 points in 31 field goal attempt. 37 mins )

Does it really matter whose performance are better or what ESPN says? Both were amazing performances, who cares if ESPN thinks Lebron's was better?

^^^ I think you fail to realize these superstars are also showmen. Since you love to point out how Lebron is stat-padding and gunning to break records, I'll give you a counterargument. I personally went to a game at Staples in 2003 against the Sonics. It was a game in which Kobe was looking to break MJ's streak of 40+ games. It was ssoooooooo obvious that Kobe was trying to break MJ's record. He was taking alot of bad shots and really forcing the action. Now he got his 40 pts , but I think he was like 13-34 or something. Now I remember seeing the look on Shaq's and Phil 's face after the game, they were not happy he was just gunning for a record. I mean it was so obvious I couldn't believe it. Shaq was in the game too and they had no answer for him, yet Kobe was still going for his record. And while most people jumped on Kobe for what he did, I realized that he like the top tier players of the NBA are all showmen. They say they don't like to break records, they say they don't get up for matchups against one another, but it's all BS. So don't give me this crap about Lebron's seeking to break records. If anyone's career has been marred by showboating and gunning for records, it's been Kobe. I personally have zero problem with it, makes for wayyyy more entertaining basketball. If you are a Lebron hater, just admit it !

Congrats to LeBron. He has the record for most points scored at MSG since Monday.

give props to Lebron for his triple double that guy is a freak of nature...i guess at least it shows the two best players in the game want to be considered the best player in the game and that is competing with each other can't wait til sunday to see these two go at it
