I doubt ESPN will put any negative spin on it, as mentioned it will be 'LeBron has great game, teammates don't help him enough'. They're already monitoring his points quarter by quarter on the front page of the NBA section, which to do for anyone player I find ridiculous.

Well if the Cav's win then ESPN will spin it "LBJ's triple-double to much for the resurging Knicks"
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

He is 14-26 from the field so that is a great % plus only missed 3 freethrows

i'm gonna have to try to watch this game to see how lebron really played the game, but triple double with 40+pt is impressive.

He really has had a great game statistically, like I said it's amazing that there are 2 guys in the league that can duel each other at this level. If Kobe didn't get 61 I'd be more impressed though. :man12:

If Lebron gets to 50 points and the triple double (He needs 10 more points and 2 more rebounds) and the Cavaliers win, that would be more impressive than Kobe's 61 IMO.

Can't agree, Kobe's role is not PG, if he was the PG of this team like LeBron is for his and had the ball in his hands bringing it up the court all game he'd get more assists. The rebounds, LeBron is 6 foot 8, he should get boards. We needed Kobe to do something big to take our minds off of losing Bynum and he delivered. Also, they threw double and triple teams at him when he came into the paint and he was still hitting insane shots, from every single spot on the court.

Having seen both games so far, I'd still say Kobe's game is more impressive because of how he scored most of his points.

He's going to of played 40+ minutes tonight though and I also can't believe they have a running total on the front page of the NBA section.

Diff between Kobe's night and LBJ's night, is that Kobe carried his team with his scoring and just dominated. LBJ is taking his team out of their offense by ball dominating. No surprise that when he is going one on one and continually looking for his shot, the Knicks make a comeback. Not to mention we blew the Knicks out, this game is neck and neck.

One reason why Kobe's 61 is more impressive, he was crazy efficient and the majority of the shots were midrange jumpers.

I said earlier, the way he's playing isn't really his kind of game.

Bron is 16-32 compared to Kobe's 19-31 and he's got 17 free throws, not a whole lot less than Kobe's 20. So basically Kobe did his damage from all over the court, whereas LeBron is 2-7 from 3.

Not a very typical game from Lebron, most of his shots are coming from outside the paints. Weird
