Face what? Kobe did it 37 minutes, Lebron played 45. Kobe shot 62% for his 61, Lebron shot 51% and took more shots than Kobe.

Lebron can have his triple double, he still didn't break Kobe's record which is the important part

i watched both games....kobes was better....he was hitting the craziest shots i've seen

lebrons was great too, but not better than kobes

Put it this way, if Kobe did what LBJ did tonight, same situation (after a night LBJ scored 61), Kobe would get called a ballhog, selfish, and a statpadder.

I wish ESPN would stop the comparisons already. Let Kobe be Kobe, Let Bron be Bron and Let MJ be MJ. All three are special for different reasons and have different ways that help/helped their teams win. I can't really really can't stand Bron but I'm not going to downplay his performance. All three had amazing Garden games, end of story.

this is a serious question nameant, i've always wondered this about u, does any other player in the league impress you? Tmac didn't do it 03 for you, Dwade's didn't do it for you in 06', and now with Lebron....Has it only been Kobe and Shaq that you are impressed with? And of course LBJ was tryin to beat Kobe's record, you don't think Kobe was tryin to beat MJ's??? 52,11, and 10 doesn't do anything for you huh?

Kobe got his in the flow out of the game, otherwise Gasol wouldn't have had 30 points.

ALso our game was never competitive since kobe pretty much put us at a double digit advantage for most of the game and they never came "close" until they piled on points towards the end when we essentially "shut it down" (about half way through the 4th)

What lebron did tonight impressive. No doubt about it. No one here's denying that.

But Kobe's show > what lebron did tonight.

61 is 61, point is he was trying to beat it and he failed

whether his game is better or not, he still failed at what he wanted

I said it was a good performance, its just not better than Kobe's. Kobe put on a show, Lebron's was a preplanned, forced, contrived, performance to up Kobe.

Here's the difference, Kobe was just flat out hot and regardless of who had the record, it was going to be broken. If Kobe had played 44 minutes, it would have been shattered.

As far as players impressing me...
I've always been a Tmac fan and supporter (although I have given up on him at this point).

Wade in 06 shooting FTs did not impress me, no. It was a joke, but that doesn't mean he's not a great player. When he is playing great he impresses me, but when he's falling all over the place, he looks weak.

Tim Duncan impresses the hell out of me.

KG used to impress me and I used to love the guy before he became a douche/Celtic.

CP3 impresses me even though he's a flopping crybaby.

Derrick Rose impresses me.

LBJ impresses me when he's not gunning for a record or statpadding.

Melo impresses me sometimes.

Deron Williams impresses me.

Steve Nash impressed me in the playoffs against the Mavs.

Andrew Bynum impresses me.

Pau Gasol impresses me.

Trevor Ariza impresses me.

Joe Johnson impresses me.

You want me to keep going? I can probably think of at least 1 player on every team that impresses me. Gunning for records and statpadding while acting like you're not doing it, does not impress me.
