Official LBJ thread: 82 games too much man

Well it's easier to root for Durant and Westbrook than LeBron because those two are building it from the bottom up. They were brought together from the team, are successful through each other, and are giving the fans everything they wanted (so far).

LeBron teamed up through his friends, went to a city that was capable of catering to him, and now doesn't have to work hard like every other team to get the wins that they do. That's why rooting for him can be... uneasy. It's off.

After watching 17 years of Kobe Bryant, we know what it means to work your way to the summit. To shuffle players until the perfect match is made and how the GM at the time does this amazing job. Miami never really needed that. They got the best 3 players available and put them all on one team together.

It's a different year and a different time now, but the fact remains that LeBron doesn't have the scoring mentality to do those things. He doesn't have the same "I don't give a f***" mentality that you need to be a scorer.

That very game is what started this thread.

I probably should have looked.

haha.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

^LOL... I would never "pretend" to be hurt because I got that "karma" worry. LBJ, Wade and Chalmers all "hurt" is BS plain and simple. Their team has been injury free for the most part all year. THey are playing with fire if ya ask me.

The Heat pushed too hard in attempt of breaking the winning streak record. Now they need to rest their players for the playoffs.

The Heat team is really good .. Look what they're doing w/o Lebron and Dwade .. They better factor that in when talking about MVP votes .. I remember when Kobe was hurt back in the day and the Lakers went on a run with Shaq .. they would always but they can still win w/o kobe, etc, etc .. Lebron deserves the same treatment

/\ they don't factor anything into MVP votes. It is a pageant based on popularity and compelling story, nothing more.

I think it was just the style with which LeBron pulled that off. Switched hands in the air, off the glass to himself, back to the original hand for the dunk?

Pretty great stuff.

No one is disputing it was a great dunk....

"that only LeBron could pull off"

fine journalism.

I would say in today's athletic NBA there's probably 20 to 30 guys that can make that play, that only LeBron could pull it off is silly.
