Well it's easier to root for Durant and Westbrook than LeBron because those two are building it from the bottom up. They were brought together from the team, are successful through each other, and are giving the fans everything they wanted (so far).
LeBron teamed up through his friends, went to a city that was capable of catering to him, and now doesn't have to work hard like every other team to get the wins that they do. That's why rooting for him can be... uneasy. It's off.
After watching 17 years of Kobe Bryant, we know what it means to work your way to the summit. To shuffle players until the perfect match is made and how the GM at the time does this amazing job. Miami never really needed that. They got the best 3 players available and put them all on one team together.
Stu : "Yeah, that's an old fashioned whoopin'."
