SAS are playing better this year, but it's not because of the big 3. Boris and KL are the MVPs of this series.

Miami does look tired though. I was beginning to wonder if they would ever tire after 4 trips to the finals. Finally they look mortal.

I doubt SAS goes to the finals next year, and Miami will be sitting at home as well. It looks like a new champion next year.

^^^^ Spurs are playing at a historical level in these Finals ... would have been the same result against 2012 or 2013 Heat , just closer games ...

However , I agree with you Heat looks tired ... let's see if they do the same mistake as we did after the Dallas debacle by keeping the same core .

Wade should be a 6th man next season imo , they need younger role players too , especially with the type of blitzing defense they preach .

As for SAS, they will be the favourite team to win the West again as they have reached an incredible comfort level playing as team .

There is the possibilty of Duncan/Ginobili checking out mentally after winning this season title though .

Well, they could always try to sign Gasol. He would do well for them. And replace Manu with a younger, unproven SG.

One thing is for sure. If Miami somehow bounces back, Lebron will be declared the GOAT and we will never hear the end of it :hurl:

Well, who would you put in that 3 spot to replace LeBron? Durant is the only player that comes close.

I have to absolutely disagree with this statement. Stats are easily manipulated to reflect the person presenting them point of view. Its amazing how over the past few years we had PER, then we +/- and now we have Advance Metrics (I think) and so on and so on. Every year a new stat created to show a "better" picture of whatever the initiator is trying to show. Stats are usually presented with heavy emotion and bias. We have a poster on this very board who tried to use that to prove DJ (Clippers) is one of the best bigs in the League even though his offensive game outside of dunking is worse than changing a diaper of a baby who has explosive diarrhea. Now I am not saying stats are nothing nor meaningless but they do not void out the "eye test" either. Do you realize that after every Heat series we hear the same thing "Wow, Lebron had an amazing quarter." Win or lose we talk about his amazing quarter and the stats back it up. What we don't talk about is his passive tendencies late in games, his lack of desire to take the big shot (up until last year at least. He has improved on this in my opinion) and his propensity to all of a sudden seem "disinterested" when his teams are down. Every loss has at least one or more of those responses not only from fans but on occasion the media too. Stats don't talk about that and they don't show it unless the person presenting them goes out of their way to show it. If we went by stats then Lebron would be the guy you want to have the ball in his hands with the game on the line because of his size, efficiency, ability to get to the basket etc. On his own team I would take Ray Allen and Bosh to take that last shot over him. Stats can lie plain and simple.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Whoa... careful there old guy.... that means that there is something more to the game than numbers and Fantasy rankings. I heard on SportsCenter that it's not true.

I'd guess that 60% of the NBA "juices" in some form or another.... it's Pro Sports...

Bron is the product of it for sure...... I have no doubt about it.

I didn't necessarily mean replace him with one player.
The main reason I ask that question is because I've given it some thought. There's not one single area in which LeBron is considered elite on the all time list, or is he?

I would say physical dominance. Definitely for his position, arguably ever. Maybe Shaq was more physically dominant, but to me, that's LeBron's best gift.

LeBron James is a special talent. He has so many accomplishments that Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan will never achieve:

1. Bronze 2006
2. Bronze 2004
3. NBA finals sweep 2007
4. Go entire Finals scoring 20 pts only one time
5. Quit on his team the year after he promises a championship
6. Dunked on by a highschool kid and then confiscate tape
7. Bail on the dunk contest 9 times
8. Only able to win a ring with 2 superstars
9. 7th best player in NBA finals series.
10. Average 1.8 pts in the 4th quarter of NBA finals.
11. Win .500 rings in 4 tries
12. Host a national televised TV show to leave his team
13. Play on the same team as his moms boyfriend
14. Go 2 for 18 in an NBA playoff game.
15. Get stuffed by a player under 6 feet (Nate Robinson)
16. Flop every single game in the playoffs
17. Choke 4 out of 5 finals games by dropping FG% by 18
18. Vow revenge for 2007 sweep, then proceed to choke again.
19. soon to be 2 and 3 in the finals.

2-3 in the Finals. What is your legacy Lebron? Needed to leave town to team up with 2 superstars to get a ring.

GOAT?

No. Not even close. But you can sure as hell check his stats.

LeBron James is 2-3 in Finals. Dallas meltdown. Saved by Ray in Game 6. Faded in Games 3/4/5 this year. Not exactly Jordanesque.
