If we can't get a starting SF return for Gasol, I'd be down for Barea/Williams/Kirilenko or something like that.

They pull that off and they've got a pretty exciting team still. What with Shved coming out and maybe Budinger coming back. Sure they lose Kirilenko, but he's honestly the only worthwhile piece in the trade.

i was only half-joking. the lakers wouldn't go for him because his contract extends into 2014, though, and i don't really blame them.

and really, i think ak/williams/jjb is, sadly, a lot more than the lakers will end up getting for pau. ak himself was probably a better player than pau this year. actually, scratch probably. he was way better, imo.

I don't think THAT package is available, but I think Pau is worth more because of a) his size b) his contract and c) his contract.

Obviously AK was better this season, but Pau has missed already 2/3s of what we've played and he's likely to miss the rest of the season as well.

I think there's packages out there we could get that'd send back 2-3 really solid athletes with one of those guys have some really solid potential.

sure--if the lakers are willing to take on salary. that's the only way pau's contract has value. those players better be worth giving up a shot at a name FA in 2014.

Wow, Magic got screwed by the refs. The Harris/Battier call was flat out wrong.

Also, Vucevic is a beast (25/21)

anyone think orlando knew vucevic was good when they traded for him? i mean, i'm sure they didn't know he was this good, but did they know he was good at all? if so, bravo.

^^^Better question is, did the 76ers know what the hell they were sitting on?

Giving up Iggy AND Vucevic for a guy that might not play a game for them. Yikes.

I have both Harkless and Vucevic on my fantasy teams, let me tell you... Vucevic has carried me some weeks. The guy has been putting up fantastic numbers. Huge find for the Sixers if this kid can continue to develop. When you watch him live he doesn't look great, but he's working really well for them right now.

Deron really cooled off in the 2nd half. I would say it was the Wizards' defense but well...it's the Wizards, that'd be giving them too much credit.

33 at the half, finished with 42 (11-16 3pt FG)

Reggie Evans also grabbed 24 balls in this one, impressive.

The fact that Deron had 9 threes at the half and couldn't break Kobe's record just shows you how tough it is to do what he did on 03 against the Sonics.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."

Watching the Miami game, and Wade is getting away with murder with his "steals". Miami is a good team, but I contend that their perimeter guys are allowed to foul like crazy to get their steals quota.

If you haven't seen the Deandre Jordan dunk from tonight, I suggest looking at it. Downright filthy.
