There's no doubt that the East is weaker than the West this season, so I completely understand your point.

However, I do want to point out that Miami has a record of 23-5 against the Western Conference, which is a better win percentage than any team in the West against their own conference. For comparison, San Antonio is 23-4 against the East, meaning the Heat are basically winning as well against Western teams as the Spurs fare against Eastern teams.

IMO while it would have been more unlikely for Miami to have won 23 in a row in the Western Conference, it still would have been possible due to how well they play Western teams.

Point taken, like I said they are a great team, and they've had some great fortune to have no real injuries. Their record against the West impressive, I just think if they were IN the West and had to play those teams more they would have lost one game by now though, at least one stinkin game.

I hope they lose one more game before they hit 33, trust me I really do. Sadly though, they just might be good enough and fortunate enough to pull it off

Will they warn/fine him? Probably not.

Eastern Conf has been way weaker than the West for 15 seasons ... nothing new here ...

The biggest proof the East sucks ? No team from the East ( outside Heat) has a positive record against teams at and above 0.50.

West ? The 1st 5 seeds have positive records and Rockets are 19-19

It's a damn shame too. CP3 is an excellent player, but he's so unlikeable. I can understand a player getting caught up in the moment, and fouling someone hard, or saying something stupid, but Chris Paul continues to flop and whine REGULARLY, this behavior is ingrained upon him like a curse. The Clippers are supposedly prepping for a finals run, but when your two best players are focused on selling phantom calls, diving, whining, and cheating when things aren't going their way... Sure doesn't seem like traits of a champion.

I would rather watch my team lose with dignity than root for a guy with no integrity like Chris Paul.

Wow I have very little respect for CP3. The guy is a straight baller but resorts to stuff like this. What is sad the league doesn't even crack down on it like they said they would. Hell if they did the Clippers wouldn't be able to field a team for every game.

When I watch an All-Star game I love watching Chris Paul operate. He can hit you with a pass from anywhere on the floor, he can shoot, he can get to the rim at times.

But then he ruins it for me by doing things like this. Why? Why resort to that? Add that to him CONSTANTLY being in the refs' ears and getting ALL the calls he wants. It's ridiculous. I hate it.

When he was traded to the Lakers I was both excited and upset because I knew I'd have to root for his stupid flopping. But I also knew I'd get to watch exciting basketball too. I wish he'd stop with that stuff. It has no place in the game today and it's becoming such an issue. He should have been suspended by now this season with the new "flopping" rules in place, right?

^It was against the volatile Cousins that he was trying to draw something nonetheless it was a pathetic attempt.

I understand the reasoning behind it, but still it's pathetic. When I played any sports on any level, if I wanted to mess with the other team, I wouldn't flop. I'd get more physical and talk s*** to them.

Flopping to me always has been and always will be pathetic. If a guy was doing that to me on the court (without the benefit of referees obviously) I'd show him what a real foul was. I'd foul him hard and tell him "next time you flop, just remember what a real foul is".

^Oh and another thing...felt good inside to see the Clippers get whooped last night. They seem to have lost their swag after the All Star break. Barkley called them "fool's gold" recently.

I've called them fool's gold all along and it's the main reason I'd love to see them in the playoffs.

How are they going to do when the game slows down, they can't run, their depth becomes less important, and they can't flop all over the place?

Between the Clippers, Nuggets and Heat there have been three franchise record winning streaks this season. That's pretty cool.

That CP3 flop is disgustingly bad. Aside from just being completely manufactured it also shows just how much a player like Paul thinks about this stuff, he is as willing to flop to get his team an advantage as coaches are to intentionally foul a bad free throw shooter. The league wants to 'clamp down' on flopping? upon review, that CP3 flop should be a one game suspension, straight up. It'll never happen, but fines aren't going to do anything.

Something that's bothered me for a long time is that people actually praise Paul for being "super competitive" and wanting to win "at whatever the cost"... To me real competitiveness does NOT include cheating to gain an edge, they're actually opposing concepts.
If you're truly competetitive, you want the challenge, you want the opposition's best shot, you want to beat them fair and square to prove you're greater. Cheating (which is exactly what flopping is) flies directly in the face of that. It's not real competitiveness, it's just being petty, it's something a 'smaller' man would do, it's denigrating the game and the purpose of wanting to win in the first place. If you cheat and play dirty to win, and you achieve just that, does the victory really mean something? Does it mean anything close to actually beating an opponent because you are more talented / smarter / more determined / more skilled ? NO.

I praise being physical, playing with real balls and not backing down, I like trash talking as a form of intimidation and trying to get in the other player's head (with limits, KG went too far for example), but I absolutely abhor, I loathe flopping (and other forms of cheating) and dirty players.

Disgusting flop. F CP3...F the Clippers...F the NBA for not enforcing their rule on everybody.

exactly. This guy is an amazing player and yet he deminishes his game, in my opinion, doing this crap. I don't even hate all the over reactions when he has the ball and is trying to get contact. This is above and beyond that which is pathetic.

When I competed I'd never really think of flopping the way Paul does. Ever. Or Griffin for that matter. It's just really disgusting and it brings the game down to a level that I think no one should have to watch.

OK Lakers peeps.... WHo are you guys going for in the Hou/Utah battle today? I know we can catch Hou but having Utah lose gives us a little more buffer behind us. Im thinking a Utah loss will put them a full game back in the loss column. On the other hand if Hou goes down we would gain a game in the loss column but still be down 1 loss. For me its Utah needs to go down. Who ya got? Why?
