btw, Harden scored 45..

I have a feeling Denver is going to take a step back this year. Giving up over 30 ppg and a top 2 or 3 defender at the SG position for Iggy was waaaaay over paying IMHO. Iggy's not that much better than Afflalo..... and

Denver isn't going to win without offense and their moves to get rid of Harrington, Afflalo and Nene in favor of Iggy and McGee have taken about 44 points away from them and replaced it with 22.... I'm not sure that they can pick that up on a consistent basis with what's left on that roster. The moves were intended to give them some Defense but McGee is a shot blocker not a position defender and not the sharpest tool in the shed and Iggy is good but not much better than Afflalo.

Agreed, I never really bought into the whole "wow Denver is gonna be so much better this year" talk.

Not quite an other game, but Jamal Crawford can flat out play. I'm glad I can turn on the TV every other night and see him score, he's a killer.
There are two teams that play in the Staples Center:
the LA Lakers and NBA Clippers.

Matt Barnes 24 minutes last night, 0 for 3 FG, 0 for 3 3s, 1 point, 2 rebounds. Clippers were down 1 with 30 seconds left and he committed a dumb foul on Jarret Jack

Odom 10 minutes, 2 points, 1/5 FG 4 fouls

I'm really liking the Knicks...as I've said, I thought they had a VERY deep team coming into this season, and with Amare out, they literally don't miss a beat. Now I'm worried about what will happen when he comes back...I honestly think they need to consider bringing him off the bench for a few games to see how he fits in, and then slowly work him back into the starting lineup...I don't like Amare at the 4 and Melo at the 3 though...the game is changing and Melo plays MUCH better at the 4, and Amare would need to be at the 5 if he wants to play alongside Melo. Unfortunately only way that happens is if Chandler gets injured....

I think what's been helping the Knicks a lot so far this year is they actually have a PG now. Felton is a great fit for them because of his playmaking skills and his ability to break down the defense and get into the paint. He's been creating a lot of opportunities when he breaks his man down and drives into the lane. They have guys like J. Kidd and Prigioni who can handle a majority of the ball handling duties and deliver the ball to guys in their hot spots.

Also Mike Woodson has impressed me with how he has the team (including guys like J.R Smith and Melo) playing team ball on offense. Seeing this has changed my perception of his coaching stint in Atlanta. There's a huge difference in coaching the veteran guys with high bball IQ on the Knicks who are willing to share the ball compared to the low IQ head cases on the Hawks who were almost allergic to any ball movement.

If Amare doesn't cause any major chemistry issues when he comes back, the Knicks might have a chance of challenging the Heat and Celtics come playoff time.

That's the thing everyone is forgetting...Melo HAS been to the WCF...and guess which year that was? It was 2008-09 season, the year he went to the OLYMPICS and tore it up. Why was Melo so good that year? Because he was in a groove and in SHAPE thanks to the olympics. Same thing will happen this year. Melo is going to have an MVP-type year. Even someone like Amare, when he's healthy, is one of the top bigs in the league...and remember he has also been to the WCF a few times, the one most recently being one of his better years as a Sun in 2010. I'm not worried about Melo this year at all....I expected the Knicks to be a top 4 team this year. Also as others have said about Mike Woodson, he did a FANTASTIC job with them last year after dantoni left, and I just felt that the players really responded to him. Felton never wanted to leave NY, and you can bet he's very happy to be back and he's IN SHAPE. The lock out really messed up a ton of players last year, and felton was one of them.

I agree with you about Melo, but Amare is definitely NOT one of the top bigs in the league even when healthy. Last season Amare played 47 games and scored under 20 points, grabbed under 8 rebounds, and shot under 50 percent from the field. Those aren't numbers you see from an elite big man. Even if healthy he's not better than obviously Dwight, Bynum, Aldridge, Pau, Dirk, Love, or Garnett. He''s definitely not better than any of those guys thus isn't an elite big even if he's healthy.

Aaaand... the Thunder lose again. It seems their players did not appreciate the Harden trade.

Martin played very well actually... but they still lost the game.

Martin lighting it up for my fantasy team!

It feels like Thunder just misses Harden's energy off the bench. Martin can replace his production but can't replace the confidence he gives to that bench unit.
