Ezeli must be the strongest guy ever. Grabs his arm before Blake jumps and then makes him do a backflip, with a slight tug.

Since it was at the expense of the Clippers, I thought it was funny. But nope, their bench was pulling stuff like that at seemingly every play that slightly benefited the Warriors when we were playing them too and I found it annoying as hell at the time.

I just can't understand how bad the Clippers announcers are. Mike Smith and Ralph Lawler clearly have a deep knowledge of the game, Smith is a numbers dork and always likes to pull out random and esoteric stats that 'prove' something or another, they're not idiots. But both of them(granted, Lawler less so, but still) use all of that collective wisdom, experience, knowledge and insight to so blindly and fanatically root for their team with barely more than a cursory nod to the fact that the other team might actually be doing something right.

I mean, I get that they are 'just' local announcers and local announcers are, by design, more homerish than national announcers. But it's more than just that. The way Smith calls all the players by their first names, reminds you of a child who gets to meet a team and starts acting like he knows them all. (which is not to say he shouldn't using their first names, just that he does it too much and with too much weird zeal.) Or how both Lawler and Smith tend to jump on calls in the way that fans do where they react first "Great call from the official for that obvious foul on chris paul, what? it was an offensive foul? rant rant rant".

Honestly, I've always put the Lakers firmly ahead of the Clippers, but I honestly probably would have been able to be more of a Clippers fan, if I could stomach the awful announcing. By that I mean I would have at least watched more of their games over the years. Of course, the sad part is the Bill MacDonald is often just as bad as Mike Smith only without the actual player knowledge(and in some ways worse because at least Smith is *supposed* to be the color commentator, Billy Mac is *supposed* to be the call).

Anyawy, last night's game was interesting and it throws a pretty significant wrench in the idea that the Clippers could go the distance this season. The Warriors are going to be a tough roadblock for them in the western conference playoffs should the two teams face.

Really?... I hadn't noticed...

Well I guess if they're making fun of Sacre I understand but otherwise it's less funny :man10:

I think every team should have a Sacre. Keeps things fun and light and gives the guys on the bench something to smile about.

Can't believe the Heat organization cries about Wade not getting foul calls, after the one he just got on the Nate Rob "blocking" foul.

I wish NateRob was our backup PG. Instead we are stuck with 7.5 million dollars worth of injured Blake and inconsistent Duhon.

One of the many vet. min signings that we should be keying in on during free agency. There will always be a group of players that go for the minimum that can contribute better than turds on multi-year contracts.

Wow ... watching the 76ers/Spurs game and Matt Bonner had such a blatant travel and there was no call. Then Sean Elliot says how Bonner's floater is unstoppable. The guy picked up the ball, took 3 steps ... realized no one was there and took literally a million shuffle steps and launched a floater. They showed the replay and it was even worse in slo-mo. Holy buckets!

Clippers look like a championship team right now. Basically how we looked from 08-10. It's too depressing to endure this crap

Yup, Clippers really do look to have that spark that the Lakers had from ~08-10, they have a deep team, they have a lot of talent, they play well as a unit, there is mutual trust throughout every position they're all on the same page and they're consistent, for the most part. The only real fault I can see in their play so far, something Rotoscooter mentioned, is how they get spooked at times. We saw it last night when the Lakers made their comeback(or near-comeback) I watched the previous Warriors vs. Clippers game and it was pretty clear that the Warriors were being assertive and it was messing with the Clippers game plan.

But ultimately, even if that is true, that you just have to bully the bully as the x-factor, that's a pretty luxurious weakness to have and should be no means be their downfall.

Still, even though the Warriors got faced tonight, They've had their way with LAC in the two previous match-ups and I would expect if the two teams met in the playoffs that it'd be a tough series.

I've never really hated the Clippers though, to me it's always been the fun rivalry that I can enjoy without getting too upset over. Clippers fans can be obnoxious, Clippers announcers are terrible. Blake Griffin and Chris Paul get on your nerves, and their owner bothers me, but historically I'm not one of those Lakers fans who is hostile to the Clippers or thinks they're BS. Partly because they've always been so laughably bad and non-threatening, but also because... I mean, it's still Los Angeles, it's still California.
