I'd give my pinky finger to see them struggle with injuries/coaching issues through the second half of the season like we did the first.

Well maybe not my whole pinky, but certainly my pinky nail.

What if we went on a run like they did and ended up 5th while they slid and ended up 4th? Then we get San Antonio in the 2nd round and then probably OKC then Miami or New York.

Here we come, history books!

I like how you think. Of course if I am giving up a pinky it is to see our team finally get it all together and make a run like the LA Kings did last season.

it would be even better if the lakers' issues would stop. unfortunately, during the most crucial road trip of the season, the lakers are playing without their entire anticipated 4/5 rotation (dwight/pau/hill).

no team can claim hardship like the lakers have had this year. not by a longshot. and yes, i'd love to see some of the lakers' rivals have to deal with the same issues.

sadly, the lakers need some key players to go down on those teams. you know, to make it fair. houston and portland have basically had all their rotation guys for almost every game this year. that helps.

^ They're up by nearly twenty and with the way Curry/Thompson are playing I don't think the Mavs have to worry. Those two are also really killing my fantasy team today. :man5:

Utah losing back-to-back games. Now they'll have the same record as the rockets.

listen, its almost impossible to catch GS. Are you guys 1st year NBA fans?

we have 31 games to play. We would have to go 19-12 and GS would have to go 12-19. I find that to be very unrealistic both ways. Already a loss tonight will force us to go 19-11. Considering how GS has lost games on the road lately, you can expect them to start winning at some point especially when they get home.

Because if you watch the Celtics enough times, you'll come to realize that Rondo is very overrated.

When Rondo got injured, SVG said that he expected the Celtics to actually improve because their defense will get better and their offense will have better ball movement. He's been right so far, and it's been that way for years.

This is why I don't think Miami can repeat this year. Yes, they got the W tonight against Portland, but they've let a lot of winnable games slide this year overall as well as just looked surprisingly vulnerable to 'bad'/average teams(yes, including the Lakers). Maybe it's because they are coasting through the regular season and they'll hit 5th gear in the post season, but maybe it's also complacency as well as teams having made adjustments and put a target on their back.

LeBron with another 30 point game, shot 11/15 from the field. I'm really impressed. He made like only 3 shots outside the paint, but still, crazy good numbers. Added 9 assists and only 1 turnover. He's finally taking full advantage of his superior athleticism and build, and combining it with the skills he's been finetuning over the years he's found a great balance and a great way to be effective.

LeBron said earlier this season that he's beginning to really understand the importance of each possession. He's trying to take care of the ball, get the best shots, and maximize each possession (kind of a CP3 mentality).

Like I said in the other thread:

So prime LeBron > prime Kobe in everything except scoring.

But since '03, Kobe has had 303 30+ point games...LeBron has 301. At the same time, Kobe has taken 30+ shots since then in 77 games, while LeBron has only done that 27 times. And yes, he gets it done in the clutch now too. So how exactly is prime Kobe better than prime LeBron? With the way LeBron is playing he may very well win 4-5 rings. 5 rings is the only argument we Kobe fans have but we may no be able to use it in a few years...

That is exactly what it is. We did the same thing in Shaq days here.
