I'm going to go out on a limb and say Kevin McHale can coach. Impressive, didn't think he had it in him.

Mark Jackson must be a damned good coach because he has his team right in the middle of the bunch for the playoffs, and they're going to beat the best team in the NBA tonight.

Thank you monta Ellis :jam2:
Hit a sick buzzer beater over Houston tonight.
Every time I begin to ask, "Is he really as great as I think he is?" ...He proves that he is.
Every time I begin to wonder...He proves it...That is why I won't lose hope in him.
You know who I am talking about.

I watched the last 6 minutes or so of that Warriors Knicks game. Curry really was something else. Thought that game had a very good chance of going to OT but then the Warriors just kind of made two unforgivable mistakes in the closing minute and lost it right like that.

Anyone think it is kind of weird, sign of the times maybe, that the highest scoring game this season is 54 from Curry? Seems like in the past 10 years most seasons have had numerous 50+ point games and often more than one 60+ game. Especially when you got a guy like Durant in the game(or Steph curry for that matter, that guy can shoot with the best of them) not to mention Lebron. I honestly don't think Lebron will ever have a 60 point game in his career really. Durant still has westbrook alongside him so maybe his overall scoring output is split a little. But still, has defense just gotten better? are superstars more pass-first? is it just a coincidence?

First of all, there aren't that many players with enough fire power to score 50+ nowadays. Durant, Melo, Kobe, LeBron and a couple of others if they get really hot. In the last 10 years as you put it, Kobe is probably responsible for like 60% of the 50+ point games, right? And he's on his 17th season now, I don't see him having that type of games anymore. Maybe he'll put up 50 again, but it's not really what he's focusing on right now and it's a very tough feat to pull off at 34..
Superstars are more concerned with playing an all-around game nowadays than trying to score a lot. Durant is going for triple doubles instead of high scoring games (which really isn't his strong suit, and I think has cost OKC a couple of games this season). Melo relies too much on jumpers and he can be inconsistent. LeBron usually isn't focused on scoring a bunch of points either. It's a different mentality IMO.
"The first time I ever saw my uniform hanging in the locker I put it on right away, and it just felt like I was putting on golden armour. From that day forward, I just called it 'the golden armour', it just felt like there was something mystical and magical about it" - Kobe Bryant.

Drew did it vs. the Nugs in the playoffs last year. I don't know if anything has been more recent than that though.

Stephen Curry is like Ray Allen, he's a pure shooter and not just with three pointers. These guys aren't super athletic so their ability relies solely on their play making and perimeter game. So for him to get 54 points on strictly shooting jumpers and 3 pointers is something else because not many players can do that. I say that because there haven't been many players who are so pure at shooting the ball like that. It runs in the Curry family though watching his brother at Duke. Stephen is still young so he can aim for a little history too.
