So Wade throws the ball at Collison after he takes a charge on him, Collison takes the ball and throws it in Wade's "general" direction and guess who gets the T?

Collison....

Not the guy who actually threw a ball and hit someone with it, the other guy.

Jeff Green plays solid defense on Lebron & better then anyone on OKC right now. You think OKC would go back and have a redo on that Perkins trade? Also, you can tell they miss Harden. From what I seen tonight, OKC will not beat Miami in a 7 game series. They actually regressed from last year...

I'm telling you, if it's a finals rematch, OKC is going down again. They haven't learned or changed ANYTHING from last years' finals it seems.
Brooks is just a terrible coach. He has them just running ISO after ISO and putting up jumpers like crazy. He's still going with Perkins even though he literally does not contribute AT ALL. The only justification for Perkins getting minutes is to defend the Bynums and Howards and other centers that play back to the basket in the L. Miami couldn't be farther (or further?) from that. He has no offensive game (and despite this he insists on getting touches on the block sometimes, ugh), so his presence is inexplicable. It also puts Ibaka on Battier, that is, far from the paint where he can block shots.
If I was Brooks, I'd run this lineup in important stretches:
Westbrook-Martin-Sefolosha-Durant-Ibaka. You can switch everything on D (though you're better off putting Martin on Battier or someone like that and not having switch on neither LeBron or Wade), every guy can hit shots, you can run with them, you put Ibaka back in the paint defensively...
I'd start Perkins only to give the ****er some satisfaction, but wouldn't play him more than 8 minutes, if that, honestly. I'd roll with Collison instead.
I mean it's so obvious that Perkins is a negative against Miami. Is he scared of him or something?

If we don't want Miami to repeat (I definitely don't want that), I think SAS is the candidate to beat them. Maybe, maybe, the Clippers, but CP3 would have to be amazing, Griffin would have to play very well, and they would have to make their 3s. I think SAS has the best chance, they are the more experienced team, they have the best coach in the game, they move the ball like no other team in the league, their role players always step up...

OKC is a very well coached team...except when they play the Miami Heat. I've been saying it for a while but the OKC Thunder are going to regret that Perkins/Green trade more than EVER this year. Perkins is literally USELESS against MOST teams, and yet the one team he does NOT match up with at ALL, he plays the most against? He shouldn't even see the FLOOR against Miami. He can't guard Bosh. He can't defend LeBron when he drives in the paint. Also, Ibaka is rendered useless on D with Perkins in there.

LeBron was unreal, but I think it was just OKC's stupidity with their lineups that they used...any time they took Perkins out, they played MUCH better on both ends and Durant also had more room to operate.

OKC has not improved offensively as a team for the latest 3 seasons ... individuals just got better .

They still not move the ball from side to side and fail to make extra passes at a comical level ..

Westbrook and Durant drive to the basket , the help is coming .. they still run into the help defender and throwing wild shots , getting called for offensive fouls

I know Westbrook ( rightfully so) gets called out for dumb decisions but KD needs to improve his decisions on the court too .. especially against the Heat

Agreed on all points. We're a few years removed from the Jeff Green/Perkins trade, so I tend to think "they are who we thought they were", but when you factor in the Harden deal too, OKC is suddenly a little shallow when it comes to perimeter D.

Kev-Mart can score in bunches, but he's exactly that, a one-way offensive player. Now instead of trying to work with a one-way player (Sefolosha) and a two-way player (Harden) - Brooks is trying to shuffle two one-way players (Martin and Sefolosha) along with Perkins (who can't score or defend against the Heat) and now his matchups/rotations are even worse than they were last year in the finals.

Harden wasn't a two-way player... and I think his defense might even be worse this season since he's been lazy at it.

He's a great player. Actually, he's an awesome player, but his defense has been below average imo.

They are not a very well coached team by any stretch. They just have superior talent than 95% of the league, incredible youth & athleticism, great shooting and very good individual & switching defense.
With a better coach they'be winning titles. Brooks is a mediocre coach.

meh, they're in 1st/2nd place, like they were before, and houston's in 8th place (1 spot ahead of where they were before). plus, okc beat them twice with harden looking unimpressive in both outings. i think okc picked the right guy between the two, if only because westbrook is a defender and harden is...absolutely not.

also, harden's giant chokejob in the finals couldn't have helped their opinion of him.

i thought westbrook was one of the only guys that wasn't cowed by miami in that series. i also think westbrook generally gets an unfair rap because a) he's not a likable personality and b) he's the running mate of the league's most likable superstar.

i think he's a better player than harden, and so did the guys who had watched that team day in and day out for the previous three years, apparently.

Lets not make this a westbrook vs harden ordeal...because truthfully, the Thunder made a terrible trade. You don't break up a team that was in the NBA finals together last year. I would have had the Thunder as FAVORITES to win it all this year had they KEPT harden. Yes, he played terribly in the finals last year but there's no way he would have repeated that performance had they gotten there this year....he would have played better....that experience coupled with the olympics made him a much better player. Now OKC will have to wonder what could have been....

the argument was whether they should have kept him and shipped westbrook, not whether should have just kept everyone. i choose westbrook. basketball is played on both ends.
