I haven't seen their games but I always thought JKidd was a bad hire. Oh and they're old. We've seen it with the Lakers but I think a team of stars/old superstars don't win Chips. I think a team needs 2 stars and good role players like our championship years.

They don't really have an elite player on their team. A collection of "stars" from around the league, but no real floor leader there.

The rumor is that Kidd is the worst coach in the league. So that doesn't help.

Think being suspended the first 5 games of your coaching career for a DUI and getting a technical foul the very first preseason game was a tell? :man10:

Won't be surprised if the Nets are already tuning out Kidd.

I think hiring Kidd was not only a risk, but the kind of risk that had more downside than up to it.

What were the NETS thinking?

Bynum with a quick 8 in 6 minutes in NO tonight. He goes out and NO closes the gap getting in the paint.

Man, there has to be a way to somehow get Kevin Love on this Laker team... Mitch will do some magic, I'm sure.

25/13/5 so far this season. I'm not even sure how he does this, considering he's listed at 6-10, but doesn't look any taller then 6-8 really... He's fairly strong, but not athletic - and he shoots mostly under the basket (91 shot so far), and the three from left wing (51 shot). Strange.

In any case, this guy is the best 4 in the game. Get him.

Meanwhile Sacramento is 4-7 for second to LAST place in the west. This would go for 8th seed in the east. :man4:

East is a joke. They should let the Pacers and Heat battle it out in a 7 game series NOW and let the winner wait till june. That's how bad the East is :mad1:.

Knicks are utter garbage. Melo is gone, no money can make him stay. As for Cle... LOL, Gilbert is a moron. Even if they had 1% chance of getting Lebron back, Dan made sure to eff it up :man10:.

Complete domination by the Spurs and a little (or a lot) of offensive ineptitude on Cleveland's part. SAS played all 13 players with good minutes by the usual bench warmers.

13 teams from the West are at 0.50 or above .... 5 from the East with Toronto leading its division with a 6-7 record.

Will never be done but it's time to change the playoffs format .... It's only been 15 seasons that the gap bewteen East and West has been big ...and gets bigger and bigger

Why is it that the Western conference is always so much stronger than the Eastern conference?

My guess.

The leastern conference is full of old owners/families.

Remember the Dallas Mavericks when they were owned by the Perot family? Same thing. Cuban, a young owner flush with cash from the dot com boom, became their owner and changed their culture.

Also, the leastern conference is full of cold weather cities. Fans can't really do much outside. Going to an indoor sports arena is one of the few activities available. So they can lure ticketgoers to the games simply because it's something they can go to indoors.

I just had an argument with my buddies about this. Their claim is that it's cyclical and that the West will be down at some point and the East will be up.

I brought up that the East has been consistently down since the lockout in 99 and previous to that it's been more alternating East/West than cyclical.

The only responses I got back were mocking of the Lakers and how Kobe's new deal will cripple the franchise. Coming from Cavs fans, I just laughed.

Yeah I'm not sure the Cavs are going to be doing anything better any time soon. :man10:
