one thing the heat players were right about: flopping is still a great strategy. dirty play is, too, provided you get away with it.

battier gets away with both, and it allows him to really impact games. it's hard to rebound when you're worried about a guy undercutting you. as battier might say, it's physics.

I absolutely hate the way Battier has played basketball for the Miami Heat. All he does is flop and fall down. That knee to Hibbert in the nuts, Battier knew what he was doing.

He's dirty as f*** and I hate him. Any player that has to resort to flopping and dirty play to stay relevant needs to stop playing professional basketball, plain and simple.

He's Raja Bell, but with a bs Clark Kent persona.

I use to love the way Shane plays but watching him with the Heat has tarnished my opinion of him. He has been taking cheapshots all game long
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

Raja Bell was the worst....

At least Battier is somewhat likeable.

:man10: :man10: :man10: :man10: :man10: :man10: Come on now. You know you're going to LOVE him as your A-Hole player when Pringles brings him to the Lakers. He'll do it. Hope to eff I'm wrong.

So glad we got Barnes instead of him 1st time around with "A-bleeps". Grew to like Matt and sure like his game. Wish we had him still.

Never did like Battier and seeing him flop around like a fish while watching the series with the Pacers was embarrassing for anyone who has every dribbled a basketball in their life.

I started hating Shane Battier Fester JR. when he started face-guarding Kobe. Dude's always had a dirty streak.

Kobe's not a dirty player, so Shane can't be a dirty player.

Anyone questioning Battier has not being paying attention to what he is doing without the ball in the paint. The pacers have been getting into it with him all series long.

Battier is doing his job. All this complaining is too much already. Pacers should stop being b*****s! Play ball, this is the postseason.

^and the Pacers are doing their job by bringing it up. You think Miami would be "play ball" if say one of their 4th tier players took Lebron out at the knees? OH no that would be different.

Do you or have you ever played basketball?

Battier is not "doing his job". He's risking the livelihood of every player that he intentionally hurts. This is their lives and their jobs and if he is going after their knees (which he is) then he's risking their future. Hell, as a person that has played basketball for fun all my life, if a guy comes after my knee I'm going to be pretty f***ing mad. That's not okay. You cannot do that. You don't undercut people. You don't kick them or trip them. You don't try to hurt their knees.
