not too many...

ryan anderson has done the spot up shooting with excellent success. shard will give them more speed tho.

overall I'm still not sold...enevr been sold on a team that lives and dies by the 3ball.

are they good? most definitely...are they great? probably they are, who knows...but are they greater than Boston or the Lakers? the answer is no as of right now.

when LeBron runs back in transition with the intention to block...there really isn't much you can do...guy is just a freakin tank.

on the other hand...shouldn't Ellis know that he is about to get REJECTED? its astonishing how players ignore facts and still think they can do what they want to do LOL.

^If any of them actually put a fake up they would get a foul on Lebron and probably an And1. I have only seen one player (granted I haven't watched all the Cav's games) do it to date. Lebron is a great recovery shotblocker. Just like all shot blockers you have to make them bite on the first shot even on a breakaway. I would think NBA players are smarter than that. At the minimum they should reverse it or dunk it when he is recovering on the break.
For what it's worth, the Lakers also clinched the Pacific Division, an achievement Bryant dismissed by saying "We don't hang divisions." No, only the big NBA championship banners are considered wall-worthy for the Lakers.

I want to see Tracy McGrady play again. Wasn't too long ago when he was lighting it up. I miss the guy. Hope he recovers well. He was one of my favorite players to watch.

Calderon of all people did it beautifully in the Cavs game at Toronto this year, drew the And 1 just like you said

I wanna see someone pull this on a break with LeBron chasing

^exactly. Lebron is very predictable on the break. No one uses his aggressive nature against him.

People gotta start putting Milwaukee among the "surprise teams." 7-3 start ... I thought they probably would be one of the worst teams in the league.

Brandon Jennings is looking like the best passed-up-on lotto pick since a guy named Kobe Bryant.

I find it really cheesy when the Heat announcers yell "u-did-it" when Udonis makes a bucket.

lol at hollinger's report on marcus thornton
2009-10 outlook: I wasn't a big fan of Thornton and didn't understand the Hornets' decision to trade second-round picks in 2010 and 2012 for a mid-second-round pick in a weak draft. Unless the Hornets think they're going to the Finals the next three seasons and will be picking 58th, they basically traded two nickels for a nickel.

Thornton is an undersized 2 who scored a lot in college, but is neither a great outside shooter nor a dominant athlete, and his ballhandling skills are questionable.

since cp3's injury, he's been shooting a cool 50% from the field.

The Heat commentator's suck IMO. They are all over D-Wade's you know what. And they are so corny.

And lighting it up from beyond the arc as well. So much for not being "a great outside shooter."

Glad I picked up up on my fantasy team.

I just realized...

Kobe has had ONLY 6 NBA seasons with more than 2000 points...either due to lack of playing time or injuries he has only 6. thats amazingly low considering he is one of the greatest if not the greatest scorer this game has ever seen.

LeBron for example at 24 has already had 5 straight seasons of 2000+ points total and he is probably going to add another 8-10 which makes him the absolute favorite to break Kareem's or hopefully by then Kobe's record.

It'll be disappointing when Kareem's record is broken for me. Hopefully it'll be Kobe who does it. When LeBron beats that, which he most likely will, it'll be a sad day for Laker fans. Also hopefully at that point, he won't have won anything (unless for some reason he's a Laker) so the record will be moot.

I am not sold that LBJ will break Kareems record to be honest. He uses physical gifts right now. I am not sure (at this point) he has the ability to modify his game throughout the seasons. I also wonder how many year he will play.

^ Well I figure he has a good chance at a solid 6 seasons of using his athleticism to get points. Then he's in his thirties. Even in his thirties he'll have good athleticism and will be able to score, I just don't know if he'll get 2000 a season.

The way I see it, if he continues to play just like he is now, it'll put him in the right spot to do it. He'll be able to do what he's doing now at least until he hits the big three-oh.
