Well, last night, in their 21 point win over the Pistons...Murray played 27 minutes, scored 19 points, and shot 7-16 from the field...not too bad

this guy is gettin it done even tho he lost his startin job

i finally got a chance to see him on friday...and MAN he breaks down his defender SO easily! he had a pretty fadeaway on chauncey, and he got to tha rim at will with time winding down, and he hit a 3 in tha face of B Wallace... but he tends to force some shots and be sort of a ball hog...thats only one aspect of his game he should improve...PASSING THA BALL a lil more

I agree, he does need to distribute the ball a little more, but they know he's not going to pass that much when they bring him in. And he's not in there to pass it around, he's in there to get them some points, and he does that quite well.

In tonight's over time loss to the Suns (91-92), Murray has his worst game of the year and only played limited minutes.

He did not score, turned the ball of 3 times, got 2 assists, 3 rebounds, shot 0-4 from the field...and only played 13 minutes.

I'm very surprised the Sonics didn't use him more, especially since they needed a scoring boost since it was a close game, other players could help him out on D, if that's what they were concerned about

nate mcmillan has a pole up his @$$ and he gets mad cuz ronald cant play defense? imagine him coaching tha dallas mavericks...he would prolly have a startin lineup of bradley fortson najera howard and delk...bcuz none of tha current starting 5 can play defense!

I really don't understand nate's stratagy. I mean cut Murray some slack, he is pretty much a rookie, because he didn't play much last year. And the only way he will get better at defense, is to play more minutes, sitting on the bench won't make him better at defense. McMillan should be the next coach to be fired, because he has to be half stupid.

Murray has improved because he has been given more time, some wouldn't it just make sense for them to continue to give him more time so he can improve other aspects of his game like defense.

Just look at the comparison from him last year to this year

Last year-he played 124 minutes and scored 54 points
This year-he's played 698 minutes and scored 406 points

Friday night in their loss against the Spurs, Murray shot perhaps a little too much. He scored 15 points on 6-26 from the field

Then Saturday when they beat the Nuggets, he was a little more passive. He scored 24 points, had 10 assists, 6 rebounds, on 8-18 shooting

it's interesting...he's still getting playing time with Allen being back, I am anxious to see if they are able to get along or if Allen will get mad with Murray's amount of shots and time. I guess we will have to take the old wait and see approach.
