I wonder who's going to be dumb enough to trade for a convict with a bad attitude?

The Lakers. Phil Jackson loves this guys defense, he said several times he regrets ever giving up Patterson.

But Patterson is way overpaid, Lakers don't wan't his contract.

Ruben Patterson to the Sonics for Vitaly Potapenko and Joe Forte.

either that or it could be Patterson for Vladimir Radmanovic....

Fox makes 5 mill. plus
George makes 4.5 mill.
Patterson makes 5.45 mill

It really wouldn't be too much more to take a chance on Patterson. As long as he behaves.

Patterson's a good smack player, but he's undersized dontcha think? He only plays in the post like a PF but is pretty quick. Hes a weird sort of playa.

But a decent defender that hustles. In many ways just like George only alot more competitive and talented with his hands. Just ask his wife...JK :man10:

think of a talented, undersized Madsen kinda guy--I dont think that Ruben's a bad playa at all if he knows how to stop pissing guys off and harassing othaas

If I were Mitch I'd present George and a future draft pick as possible trade bait.

no DA, that's not worth it--realize the potential George has, he'll be a good playa someday. Patterson's sorta old, he's what he is and has a fat contract and is known to do off-the-court promises. And a future draft pick? That makes the deal SO into Portland's side of it. :disagree:

Yeah your probably right. George has never been one to argue about his role. He just hustles and does what hes told. Patterson would cause too much trouble.

Dude are you serious I would never make that trade. Patterson has a bad attitude and would be a cancer in the locker room. He belong with one team and one team only and thats the Blazers. He's famous for stopping Kobe from scoring 40 in the playoffs. You said George and a future #1 are you kidding?! That an insane proposal!

I am dead serious about this trade. Aside from numbers and such Ruben displays an insane ability for running the floor, grabbing boards, and making key defensive stops. PJ has a history of handling discipline lacking players (Rodman). And as far as a future first round draft pick is concerned it would be a 30th pick.

Certainly he could provide the crowd with some energizing hustle plays. In many ways hes alot like Ron Artest.

I AGREE RUBEN WOULD BE ANOTHER GUY TO ADD SOME FIRE IN THE LOCKER ROOM, NOT TO METION SOME SCORING PUNCH, REALITY IS THAT KOBE MAY NOT BE HERE AND WE SHOULD HOPE FOR THE BEST AND EXPECT THE WORST, IM ALL FOR RIGHTING A WRONG (RELEASING RUBEN 4 YEARS AGO), I MEAN WE ALREADY DID WITH GRANT WHY NOT RUBEN,

WHO WOULD BE CRAZY ENOUGH TO F WITH RUBEN AND GARY, WE'D HAVE ONE TOUGH BACK COURT, THAT DOSENT F*CK AROUND?

I wouldn't pull the trade simply for obvious chemistry reasons. This may be hard to understand, but his attitude is not Laker material anymore.

Slava laughed at the suggestion his skills might be affected by the down time. "Are you kidding?" he said. "Basketball is like ball. It's all a circle."
