other than other possible small trades

the cle-chi-sea trade is the biggest one being sorted right now.

I think CLE is being stupid here

they have a decent team that could make some noise in the East, dunno why they're making silly moves that could kill the chemistry

those guys they're trading for aren't used to making adjustments at midseason and aren't good at adjusting quickly

Big Ben will gut this team with his big contract

So that leaves Chicago with:

Noah/Gray
Gooden/TT/Simmons
Deng/Noch
Hughes/Gordon/Thabo
Kirk

I guess we'll be seeing some Benny G at PG or Hughes at PG when Kirk sits. Otherwise they have JamesOn Curry running the point.

David Aldridge is reporting in his live blog that the Cavaliers, Bulls and Sonics agreed to a big three-way trade just before the deadline. The Cavaliers are expected to receive Ben Wallace and Joe Smith from the Bulls along with Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West from the Sonics. The Bulls get Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden, and the Sonics get Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Adrian Griffin. Ben Wallace and Joe Smith to Cleveland. The Cavs' Ira Newble, Donyell Marshall and Adrian Griffin to Seattle for Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West.
It sounds like it's only a matter of time before this becomes official. We'll break down the trades implications once it's all sorted out, but for now consider adding Wally World and Delonte West, especially in deep leagues. Jeff Green should also see a boost in minutes for the Sonics.

They probably will considering the deadline has passed bu they are slow. I will either do all these myself or get an updated roster from operationsports.com.

I would've traded Ben for Cedric Simmons straight up if it were possible.

Yeah, I think this trade will be better than the current team they have now. West is a solid PG. Wally can score. Ben brings what he has left in the Rebound/Hussle gas tank

Not bad for the Cavs at all ...

You switch Gooden for Joe Smith who is kinda under-rated .. hes got a nice mid-range jumper at times and shoots high percentage free-throws (not sure this year but i know in previous seasons he was up there)

You get another point guard to go along Boobie in West .... not exactly a superstar point you guys were looking for but very solid and upcoming one ..

Another shooter for LeBron in Wally for those double

And though ben has declined maybe it was the setting in Chicago .. maybe with this young playoff team Ben will start playing well again .. not exactly 03- 04-05 Ben but maybe 06-07 Ben ... he still bring's something to the table no doubt

i can't decide. wallace can't play anymore, but hughes was totally unreliable, as was gooden. wally can still score, and west could start for them at pg.

big ben is a decent guy to have next to big z, though.

not bad.

Yeah, they have some good depth now.

where are they going to play wallace? at the 4? that's gonna be some poor spacing between him and big Z

i see this trade as a wash for the cavs

Yeah, I mean they only got the penetrating defensive PG they were looking for in Delonte

A 3pt sniper next to Lebron in Wally

The former DPOY who will play PF

and Joe Smith who is equal to Gooden

while getting rid of Hughes ridiculous contract and Gooden who is Hughes equal

I can't stop laughing at the fact that the Bulls took Larry Hughes. I guess they were that desperate to rid themselves of BWall. LMAO.

Cleveland just got a lot better, adding two potent scorers/shooters next to Bron, with one of those guys (West) able to start at the point and be another playmaker, and Big Z/Big Ben front court will be formidable defensively.

:man10:

Picking up Drew Gooden was a good move from Paxson. He's a consistent rebounder and he fits well with the current group of players. The departure of Smith (who I liked) frees up PT for Thomas & Noah (Simmons as well). Above everything else, Wallace's contract is off the books.

They'll have to bring both off the bench unless they bring Ben or Z off the bench, which they won't.

Yeah. I like Gooden. Liked Smith more though. Not crazy about Hughes but damn, anything to rid ourselves of Lil Ben.

Big Z has an excellent J, spacing isn't going to be a problem. Cavaliers could be scare if this all comes together as envisioned.
