Man that's a pretty big blow for them, that means more relying on Perkins and hoping Adams can give them anything. Ibaka isn't a star or anything, but he's given them 12 and 7 this playoffs and seems to be money on 15 foot jumpers, plus he's an athletic defender they need against the Spurs bigs.

This will definitely hurt them, either this round or next.

Of course if TP has a lingering injury, there goes SA.

Welp the Sppurs may partially sweep them in 5. It's not so much Serge shot making as a big that could have helped but his prsence in the middle. Kendrick has been really off, and hasn't shown me anything.

I don't think they can win WCF without Ibaka. I mean, basketball is full of surprises, but this... he is too important for OKC, especially on the defensive end.

As for OKC , Westbrook in 13, Ibaka in 14, Thunder doesn't have this part of luck any NBA champion has and needs ...

Parker won't be at full strength for the start of the series so I guess it balances a little bit things out

WIthout Ibaka they're not going to win the series.

My dream of an Indiana vs. San Antonio Finals is coming together.

No Serge Ibaka means more minutes for that overrated POS named Kendrick Perkins...

Good luck with that...

OKC gonna miss Ibaka bad on the defensive end. It was his help defense that keyed OKC's sweeping the Spurs during the regular season. The way the Spurs play offense, gotta have good help, good rotations on the Spurs and Ibaka is a huge part of that. Says here the Spurs make hay in the first two games before OKC figures something out. I suppose Brooks will try going small as long as he doesn't mind putting Durant on Duncan when Splitter is in the game too.

Portland looked good most of the season, looked decent against Houston, but their defense was flawed and the Spurs destroyed them at that end of the floor. If OKC can't shore up its defense without Ibaka, it'll be long nights for them.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

You guys are making too much out of Ibake here. He's a decent player but the way it's sounding he's a 5 time all start or something. Collision will surprise IMHO. he's got the heard Ibake is missing.

Depth will be the issue however...... well.... and the Spurs.

Even with Ibake I didn't see OKC beating the Spurs.

But Perkins is trash and without Ibaka he will go back playing 25+ minutes, Collison barely plays anyway... I also expect more chucking from Westbrook...

It's a physical impossibility for Westbrook to "chuck" more...... It was proven at CERN..... :man10:

Collison will do just fine. What he makes up for in smarts will offset his inability to block shots our of bounds.
